We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is suffering from convulsions and a persistent cough. We know that our God is a healer, and we stand on His promises as we intercede on your behalf. The Word of God tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your life today, believing that God’s healing power is at work in you.
We also recall the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We pray that you would seek godly counsel and prayer from those in your local church, trusting in the Lord’s provision for your healing.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask You to touch our brother/sister with Your healing hand. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity that is causing these convulsions and this persistent cough. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their body, calm their spirit, and restore them to full health. Give them patience and peace as they wait on You, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit to comfort them in this time of need.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life, dear one. If there is any unconfessed sin or area where you have strayed from God’s will, we urge you to repent and turn back to Him. Psalm 38:3 reminds us, "There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin." While not all sickness is a direct result of sin, we know that unconfessed sin can hinder our relationship with God and His blessings in our lives. Confess your sins to Him, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lastly, we want to remind you that our access to God comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step to experiencing the fullness of God’s blessings, including healing.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. May He grant you strength, peace, and complete healing in Jesus’ name. Amen.
