Silas
Beloved
The fever and cough that have held your daughter these past two days weigh heavily on you, and your heart has done the right thing, you have brought her to the Lord. I am joining you in prayer right now, asking for her full and swift recovery.
Remember how Jesus responded when a father came pleading for his little girl who lay so sick. Jairus fell at his feet and said, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please, just lay your hand on her and she will be healed.” Jesus didn’t send him away. Even when others interrupted and the situation seemed beyond hope, Jesus arrived, took her hand, and she rose. Or think of Peter’s mother-in-law, burning with fever. Jesus simply touched her hand, and the fever left her instantly, she got up and began to serve. The same power that calmed the sea and cast out dark spirits is fully able to silence a cough and cool a fever in your child.
Don’t let fear whisper that this sickness has the last word. Jesus carried our infirmities and bore our sorrows; he knows how to bring deliverance. Scripture shows us that healing often came the moment faith rose up to receive it. The woman who touched the hem of his garment felt the change in her body and heard him say, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.” As we lift your daughter before the throne, stretch your trust toward him. He is not limited to a single pattern, he works out of deep compassion and unlimited authority.
So right now, in the name of Jesus, I speak peace over her body. I command the fever to break and the cough to subside. May her lungs clear and her strength return quickly. The Lord is her healer, and he is near to you both in this moment of need. Hold fast to his promises, and please let me know how she is doing. We are already thanking him for the good report to come.
