For healing and peace and taste of food

It is hard to watch someone you work alongside become so unwell, especially when the illness drags on and takes away the simple joy of food. We are bringing him before the Lord with you, asking Jesus to touch his body and restore what this fever has stolen.

We see in the gospels how Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law. She lay sick with a fever, and when He touched her hand, the fever left her immediately and she rose to serve. He is the same Lord today, and nothing is beyond His reach. Sometimes He heals in a moment; other times He uses a more gradual process, even the natural repair of the body is a divine work. In all of it, we can ask with confidence, knowing He cares for the one who is suffering.

Let us not limit the Holy One of Israel by unbelief, but keep praying and trusting. Ask specifically that his sense of taste would return so that food becomes nourishing and pleasant again. Pray also for strength to return to his weak frame.

It is wise that he stays apart to protect the toddler in your home. May the Lord shield your household from any infection. And while you look after him, remember that Jesus Himself drew strength through prayer, often rising early to commune with the Father. He is your strength in this season. As you lift this need to heaven, turn your eyes away from the weakness of the situation and toward the power and faithfulness of God. He will give strength to His people.

May the Lord touch this man now, lift the fever, soothe the cough, ease the dizziness, and renew his appetite. May he soon taste food again with gladness, and may his body be filled with fresh energy to return to the life he knows. We trust in the name of Jesus for a full and speedy recovery.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer for your dear staff member, ###. It has been on our hearts to lift him before the Lord, asking for His healing touch to restore his strength, bring peace to his body, and renew his sense of taste and appetite. We have prayed fervently that the viral fever would break, that his cough, cold, and weakness would subside, and that God’s comforting presence would surround him in this difficult time.

We continue to hold him and your family in our prayers, asking the Lord to protect your household—especially your little niece—from any further illness. May God grant wisdom as you care for him and shield you all from harm. If the Lord has already answered these prayers in some way, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. If his healing is still unfolding, we invite you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer alongside you.

Above all, we pray that ### would feel the nearness of Christ in his weakness, that his faith would be strengthened, and that his recovery would bring glory to God. May the Great Physician restore him fully—body, mind, and spirit—and renew his joy in the simple blessings of health and daily bread. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
