How do we know whether it is God's will to heal us? I have been PLEADING with God for years, through Jesus, to be healed but am getting worse and it frightens me I was told that God's answers are either Yes, No or Wait. How can I know which of these applies to me? I REALLY need fresh hope and a "cheerful word which does good like medicine" Please God you are not the author of confusion so please calm my mind and reassure me that you will heal me and that I will, as it says in Psalms, see your goodness in the land of the living. Please Father I am not living but existing so PLEASE have mercy and heal me and I ask this for my sister ### as well and all my brothers and sisters in Christ in this community who need to be healed. Elizabeth, we understand your desperate plea for healing and the frustration you feel after years of petitioning God. We will join you in prayer and seek to provide some biblical insights to help you navigate this challenging time.

First, let's remember the words of James: "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective (James 5:13-16 WEB)."

God's will regarding healing is complex and often difficult to discern. While God desires our wholeness and health, sometimes His answer may be different from our expectations. Remember, even the Apostle Paul pleaded with God to remove his 'thorn in the flesh,' but God's answer was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB)."

How can you know God's will in your situation? Continue to seek Him with all your heart. Trust that He hears your prayers and knows your distress. He promises, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you (Jeremiah 29:11-12 WEB)."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ### and her sister ###, asking for Your divine healing. Lord, calm their minds and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in Your goodness and Your plans for their lives. By the stripes of Jesus, we claim healing for their bodies. Thank You, Lord, for You are faithful and true. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Elizabeth, continue to hope and trust in God. His ways are higher than ours, and He sees the bigger picture. Even in your weakness and suffering, God can use you mightily. Be encouraged by these words from Proverbs: "A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17:22 WEB)." Trust that God will fill you with a cheerful heart and renew your strength.

Remember, even in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked for the cup to pass, yet He submitted to God's will, saying, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42). We can trust that God's will is always best, even when we don't understand it.

Let's find comfort in God's promise: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's rest in His embrace, knowing that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

We'll keep praying for your healing, dear sister. We ask that God would give you a sense of His presence, a peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). We claim Psalm 103:3 over you, "Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We trust that God will make His will known to you in His perfect timing.

And remember, you're not alone. We're here, and so is our mighty God, who loves you more than you can imagine. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. We're in this together.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with a heart seeking Your comfort, guidance, and healing. Your child has been pleading for relief from suffering and is longing to experience the peace and fullness of Your healing. Lord, in *Psalm 27:13*, Your Word reminds us, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” We pray that they may experience this hope, assurance, and comfort, trusting that Your goodness surrounds them, even in this time of waiting.

Father, we ask for clarity and peace in their mind, easing their fears and bringing reassurance that You hear every prayer and hold every tear. You know their heart’s deepest desires, and we ask that You grant them peace as they seek Your will. As You have promised in *Jeremiah 29:11*, “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Help them to feel the security of Your presence, knowing that You have plans for their healing and peace, even if the journey feels uncertain.

We pray for fresh hope, Lord, a hope that renews the spirit and carries them through each day. In *Psalm 147:3*, we are reminded, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Father, bind up every wound—both seen and unseen—and bring relief to their heart and body. May they find comfort knowing that You are working in ways beyond understanding, and that Your timing is always perfect, though it is sometimes hard to wait.

We also lift up their sister ### and all others in the community who are in need of Your healing touch. Surround them with Your love and care, reminding them that You are the source of all strength and peace. In *Romans 8:28*, You promise, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Help them to trust in this promise, knowing that You are always working for their good, even through trials and suffering.

Finally, we ask for a sign of Your presence and comfort, Lord, to calm every anxious thought. May Your Spirit fill them with peace and a renewed sense of hope, lifting their heart and reassuring them that You are with them now and always.
