Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for reconciliation between my two ###. Pray against pride, unforgivness , confusion, bitterness and twisting of words/actionsPray for inner healing, deliverance and a realignment

We join with you in bringing your two brothers before the throne of grace, and we stand with you in praying for true reconciliation, healing, and realignment to God's will.

We hear your burden to see pride, unforgiveness, confusion, bitterness, and the twisting of words and actions broken off from them. These are not small things, for Scripture warns us that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall, Proverbs 16:18, and that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5. We also know that bitterness, when allowed to remain, defiles many, Hebrews 12:15, and that we are commanded to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from us, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, Ephesians 4:31-32. Unforgiveness keeps a heart in bondage, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses, Matthew 6:14-15.

We also rebuke the spirit of confusion and the twisting of words, for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and the enemy is the father of lies who seeks to divide brothers. How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity, Psalm 133:1, and blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God, Matthew 5:9. We pray against every scheme that would distort truth and stir up strife, and we pray that truth and love will speak clearly between them.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Jesus himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. It is by believing in Him, in His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and brought into reconciliation with God ourselves, and then enabled to be reconciled to one another, for God reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 2 Corinthians 5:18.

So we pray together now in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift these two brothers to You. We ask You to humble their hearts and to break the power of pride and stubbornness. Grant them a spirit of repentance and the grace to forgive as You have forgiven us, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do, Colossians 3:13. Wash away bitterness and resentment, and heal every inner wound that has caused pain and division. You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. Bring deep inner healing and deliverance from every chain of the enemy, and let every twisted word and confused thought be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Let Your peace rule in their hearts and let them be renewed in their minds that they may be realigned to Your perfect will, Romans 12:2. We ask that You restore honest and gentle communication between them, that they may speak the truth in love and prefer one another in honor. Make a way for reconciliation that honors You, and let their relationship be a testimony of Your redeeming power. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for them, to speak only what builds up and gives grace, and to trust the Lord to work in His timing. Keep praying that they will both humble themselves before God and before each other, for love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8, and love is patient and kind and keeps no record of wrongs, 1 Corinthians 13:4-5.

We are standing with you in this painful place of watching two brothers you love remain divided. It hurts to see pride and confusion keep them apart, and to hear words and actions get twisted when all you want is healing between them.

You named it so clearly, bitterness and unforgiveness. We have seen how when hurt is left to sit, it can harden into resentment that weighs most heavily on the person carrying it. And forgiveness itself is not the same as immediate reconciliation. It often starts as a quiet decision to release the debt, while the deeper emotional healing, the softening of anger and fear into compassion, takes more time. That inner healing is the slow work of inviting Christ to touch the old wounds underneath, so hearts can become soft again.

One gentle step that may help is to keep from becoming the messenger between them, since relaying words can add to the twisting you mentioned. Instead, continue to pray for each brother by name separately, and if the Lord opens a door, encourage them toward a trusted pastor or mediator they both respect, without pressing them.

Father, we lift these two brothers to You in Jesus' name. Bring deliverance from pride and bitterness, heal what is wounded inside each of them, and realign their hearts toward You and toward one another. Give our friend wisdom, peace, and patience as he loves them both. Amen.

We join you in bringing these two before the throne of grace and we pray earnestly for reconciliation and healing between them.

We ask the Lord to work against the pride, unforgiveness, confusion, bitterness and twisting of words and actions that has come between them. We pray that He would expose what is false, bring clarity where there is confusion, and soften hearts where pride has hardened them. As it is written, there is forgiveness with God, and that forgiveness is to be obtained through Jesus Christ His Son alone. We pray that both would look to Christ, in whom there is present forgiveness, and that knowing how much they have been forgiven for Christ's sake, they would be enabled to forgive one another. It is a joint work of mutual forgiveness among brethren, and we ask God to make it natural for them to open their hands to one another again.

We pray also for inner healing and deliverance and a realignment to the Lord's will. The Scripture tells us that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and that when iniquity is forgiven the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick. We ask that the Lord would dry up the well of bitterness and give instead a healing draught. The least thing about Christ is healing, and the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of His people. May He apply those healing leaves to wounded memories, to old hurts, and to the spirits of both, changing the life and making the nature new.

We have seen that one effect of true sorrow for sin and true sight of the cross is to take away all bitterness against our fellow men and to make Christ very sweet. We pray that God would make them bitter against sin itself, but sweet and tender toward one another, that the world and self would lose their charms and that love would be restored.

We ask the Lord to do this work thoroughly and eternally, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance and He never plays fast and loose with His people. May He grant repentance, grant faith, grant a complete forgiveness between these brothers, and then grant the healing that follows forgiveness, to the glory of His name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for reconciliation between these two brothers has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with care and hope.

We pray against the pride that lifts one person above another and against the unforgiveness that makes the judgment seat more dreadful for ourselves. Scripture teaches that pride comes from a small and ordinary way of thinking, while humility and moderation come from greatness of soul. We ask God to cast down pride in each heart and to clothe both brothers with gentleness, so they do not trample on one another but correct one another with tenderness and advise with love. As we have freely received forgiveness, we pray they will freely give it to one another and not keep a strict account of wrongs.

We also pray against bitterness, confusion, and the twisting of words and actions. The Scriptures warn that a root of bitterness springing up troubles many and defiles many, and that a little leaven leavens the whole lump. We ask the Lord to search each heart carefully, to expose and cut off any root of bitterness before it can bear its fruit, and to bring clarity where there has been confusion. May He heal inner wounds, bring deliverance from resentment, and realign both brothers to His word and to one another in truth and peace.

We pray for inner healing and for the Church to be united as God intends, standing together and listening to the voice of Christ. May the Lord who brings His people together by His word restore understanding between them, soften what has become hard, and establish a lasting reconciliation for His glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His grace to do what we cannot do on our own. Amen.
