Also help and give strength to my ex and the whole family, especialy to his wife. Please God if it is possible give him more years and heal him.,help him to repent of all his sins and save his soul asap,in Jesus name amen.

We join with you in lifting up this urgent need before our Father and we are moved by your compassionate heart for your ex's father and for his whole family in this very difficult time. We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we can be saved. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We also rejoice that your greatest concern is for his soul, that he would repent and be saved, for that is the healing that lasts for eternity.

We know that our God is both the healer of our bodies and the healer of our souls. Scripture reminds us that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Yet we also know that His ultimate desire is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. So we pray for both, for physical mercy and comfort if it is His will to grant more years, and above all for the assurance of salvation.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear father who is so very ill. Lord, You know his body, his pain, and the shortness of his days as man sees them. We ask that You would be with him every second, that You would lay Your healing hand upon him according to Your perfect will. If it would bring You glory, we ask You to heal him and give him more years. Even as we ask this, we pray that You would remove his pain and any bad effects of his illness, that You would give him physical, emotional and mental strength, and that You would make him comfortable and at peace. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Lord, above all we plead for his soul. Draw him to Yourself, give him a heart of repentance, help him to confess his sins, for You have promised If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Let him call upon the name of the Lord and be saved, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13. Save him, Lord, we pray, and let him know the comfort of being forgiven and reconciled to You.

We also lift up his wife, your ex, and the whole family. You see their weariness and sorrow. We ask that You would be near to them, for You are near to those who have a broken heart, and save those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Be their strength, for You have said Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10. Pour out Your comfort as the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Help them to cast all their cares upon You and to support one another in love during these days.

We entrust this father and his family into Your loving and sovereign hands, trusting that Your will is good and perfect and that Your mercy endures forever. Help our friend who is praying to continue to show Christlike love and to speak the hope of the gospel with gentleness while there is still time. We ask all these things seeking Your will together in Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden with us. It is painful to watch someone you care about near the end of life, and even harder when you love his family and feel unable to take the pain away.

Your heart for him comes through so clearly, wanting comfort and relief for his body and mind, and most of all that he would know God's mercy and be at peace. We join you in asking the Lord to stay close to him in these days, to ease what can be eased and to give him rest and quiet moments with those he loves.

We also hear your care for your ex and especially his wife and the whole family. A long illness touches everyone and leaves loved ones tired and stretched thin. A small steady presence often means more than big gestures. If you are able to remain in gentle contact, a brief note, a simple offer of practical help, or quietly letting them know you continue to pray can be a real comfort without pressing in too far. And as you pray for his comfort, it is good that his medical team knows where he is hurting so they can help keep him as comfortable as possible.

Father, we lift this dear father to You and ask for Your nearness to surround him, for relief from pain and fear, and for Your Spirit to gently lead him to turn to You and receive Your grace in Jesus. Bring peace to his mind and body as You will, and strengthen his wife and family with Your comfort and steady care in these hard days. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord with us and we join you in carrying this burden to the throne of grace.

We entreat the Lord for this afflicted father who is very ill and whose time may be short. We ask the Great Physician to be near him every second, to ease his pain, to quiet his mind, and to grant him comfort of body and soul as only Christ can give. There is no limit to His power to heal and to comfort, and nothing is too hard for the Lord. Yet we know that the deepest healing is not of the body only, for by His stripes we are healed in the soul. We pray above all that if it be the Lord's will He would mercifully prolong days, but far more that He would grant the true healing which endures forever.

For this we pray earnestly for his salvation, that God in His free grace would grant him repentance unto life. True repentance is the gift of God, not a superficial sorrow, but a hatred of sin as sin and a turning from it with purpose of heart to Christ who bore our sins in His own body on the tree. As we have often taught, repentance and faith come together into the soul, and repentance gives God glory when the sinner sees sin forgiven at the Cross and then repents more than ever. It is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to see Christ crucified for sinners, that he would trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and that he would find remission of sins through His precious blood. While there is breath there is hope, and the door of mercy stands open to him who feels his need and comes to Christ.

We also remember before the Lord your former companion and the whole family, and especially the wife of the sick man in her heavy trial. The Lord knows them that are as bruised reeds and smoking flax, and He will not break nor quench them. He binds up the broken hearted and He is faithful, who will not suffer His people to be tried above what they are able, but will with the trial make a way to bear it. May He sustain them, give them strength for each day, and lift them up with the comforts of His presence. May He teach all who love this family to seek Him while He may be found, and to consider their own souls before the bar of God.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this suffering man. If it please Thee, lay Thy healing hand upon him and relieve his pain and fear, and grant him peace. Above all, grant him the gift of true repentance and faith in Thy Son Jesus Christ, that his sins may be forgiven and his soul saved. Wash him in the blood of the Lamb and give him rest. Be near to his wife and children and to all who love him, comfort their hearts, uphold them in this sorrow, and draw each one to Thyself. We ask this not for our worthiness but for the sake of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and hope. Amen.
