Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this urgent need before the Lord and we thank you for trusting us to pray with you.
We pray for your ex's father in his serious illness. We ask God to be near to him every moment, to give him strength and peace in body and mind, to ease his pain and to comfort him in his suffering. Above all we pray for the healing of his soul. We ask that God in His mercy would grant him time and grace to turn to Him in true repentance and to receive salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for it is only through His one sacrifice on the cross that we are made whole and forgiven. Scripture shows us that no sin is beyond repentance when the heart turns sincerely to God, and that His delay in judgment is mercy, giving opportunity to repent and be restored.
We also pray that if it is the Lord's will, He would grant healing and more years, and that whether in life or in death this man would be comforted by knowing Christ. We know that affliction can be a path where God works comfort and salvation, and that those who share in suffering can also share in His comfort.
We lift up your ex, his wife, and the whole family. We ask God to give them strength, peace, and endurance in this difficult time, to surround them with His presence and to sustain them day by day. May they know His consolation and be drawn closer to Him through this trial.
We will continue to pray with you for comfort, for relief from pain, for strength for the family, and most of all for repentance and salvation in Jesus name. May the Lord give you peace as you entrust this dear family to His loving and righteous care.
