Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son is heard, and I join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father with thanksgiving for your faithful love as a parent.
We serve a Lord who, though He is the true Son of the unoriginate God, was willing to be called Son of David so that He might make us sons and daughters of God. He knows our frame, our weakness, and our wounds, and He draws near in mercy to heal what is broken in body, mind, and spirit.
I pray with you that God would quiet your son's mind when panic rises and calm his body with His peace that passes understanding. May the Lord lift the heavy shadows of past trauma and replace fear with the assurance of His presence. As you have asked, may God grant him deep and ordered sleep, free from nightmares, and awaken him in peace. The Scriptures teach us that God Himself keeps watch over His people and never slumbers, and that when the heart is at rest in Him, sleep can be gentle and pure, not filled with wild fancies or torment, but with restoration.
I also pray that God would bring breakthrough in every area of his life and make him watchful and sober in soul. To be awake is not only to have open eyes, but to have a heart that is guarded and steadfast in Christ, not drowned by worldly cares or the drunkenness that comes from sin and anxiety. May God strengthen your son to stand firm, to guard his heart, and to walk in the light as one who belongs to the day.
Christ often asked those who sought healing, do you believe that I am able to do this, for He honors faith that looks to Him alone. So we come with confidence not in ourselves but in Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have salvation and access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other hand that can truly restore.
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, pour out Your mercy and grace upon this dear son. Touch him physically, mentally, and spiritually. Quiet his thoughts, calm his body, heal the wounds of trauma, and grant him peaceful sleep and joyful waking. Bring comfort, healing, and restoration according to Your perfect will, and draw him ever closer to Yourself. Strengthen his faith, guard his heart, and let him know that You are his Father and his keeper. We thank You for all You have done and all You will do. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Continue to bring him before the Lord daily, encourage him in the Word and in prayer, and seek wise and caring support around him for his ongoing health and peace. God is faithful, and He hears the prayers of those who call upon Him through Christ.
