Healing, restoration

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for your mercy and grace to restore my son ### physically, mentally, and spiritually. You see the struggles he is going through, quiet his mind and calm his body when panic takes over. Remove the heavy shadows of his past trauma and give him strength to sleep well without nightmares and wake up in peace. I pray that you would bring comfort, healing, and breakthrough in every area of his life. Thank you Father for all you do for us, I pray for this in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing his needs to the Lord with such love and faith. We hear the burden on your heart for his complete restoration physically, mentally and spiritually, and for peace to replace panic and trauma.

We are reminded that our God is a God who heals and restores. Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He sees the struggles your son is walking through, even the quiet battles of the mind and the heavy shadows of past trauma, and He draws near with mercy and grace.

For the panic and fear that takes hold of his body and mind, we cling to the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And for his sleep we pray the truth of Psalm 4:8 that in peace he will both lay himself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make him live in safety. We also hold to Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to you. We ask for your mercy and grace to restore him completely, body, mind and spirit. Lord, quiet his mind and calm his body when panic rises within him. Touch him with your healing hand and remove the heavy shadows of past trauma that weigh upon him. We ask that you would grant him deep and peaceful sleep without nightmares, and that he would wake up each morning renewed and in peace. Bring comfort where there is distress, healing where there is brokenness, and breakthrough in every area of his life where the enemy has sought to hold him captive. Fill him with your perfect peace and strength, and let him know how deeply he is loved and held by you. We thank you Father for all you do for us and for your faithfulness to complete the good work you have begun in him. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cover him in prayer daily and to speak scripture over him, reminding him that God will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him as Isaiah 26:3 promises. If he is open, encourage him to seek godly counsel and to share his struggles with trusted believers who can walk alongside him, and continue to trust that the Lord who began this healing will be faithful to bring restoration in His perfect timing.

Thank you for sharing your son with us so tenderly. We hear your love for him in every line, and the weight you carry as you watch him struggle with panic, restless nights, and the shadows of past trauma.

It is painful to see someone you love feel so unsettled in his own body and mind, especially when sleep does not bring rest. Please know we are praying for him with you, and for you as you walk beside him.

When panic and nightmares have been part of the story for a while, it can help to have steady support alongside prayer. If he is not already connected to care, we would gently encourage you to help him reach out to his doctor or a trusted Christian counselor who can listen well and walk with him over time. You do not have to figure out every next step alone, and you do not have to push him to share more than he is ready to share. A calm, consistent presence and letting him know he is loved and not alone often means more than we realize.

Father, we lift this dear son to You. You see him fully and love him deeply. We ask for Your mercy to quiet his mind and calm his body when fear rises, to give him peaceful sleep and mornings that feel lighter. Bring healing in Your way and timing, body, mind and spirit, and give his parent wisdom and strength for each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for your son has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

What a mercy it is that we may bring our children, in all their infirmity of body and trouble of mind, to that Saviour who still has power on earth to forgive sins and to heal. You have asked for his restoration physically, mentally and spiritually, for quietness in the hour of panic, for sleep without the visitation of past shadows, and for peace upon waking. These are great mercies to ask, and they are not too great for our Lord to give.

We are reminded that the Lord giveth his beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the world cannot give and cannot take away. When the winds and waves assault the vessel, the child of God may go to the hinder part of the ship near the Steersman and sleep in peace, for the ship is safe in His hands. So we pray that the Lord will grant to your son that peculiar sleep of the beloved, that he may lie down and not be afraid, that his mind may be quieted and his body calmed, and that he may awake refreshed as one whose strength has been recruited by the Lord Himself.

We are reminded also that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves have virtue in them to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. All individuals in every nation need this healing, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. He used no other remedy in healing our sin sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. Blessed be His name, the bitter cup was drained by Him that we might be healed.

And healing and pardon go together. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and then bade him arise. The great ill is the broken heart, and none can heal it but the Lord Himself who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. Seek for your son not only ease of body and quiet of thought, but that deeper healing which comes when the soul is washed in the blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit makes His temple there. For when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who art our Father in Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this son who is dear to Thee and dear to those who love him. Thou seest the struggles that are upon him, the panic that takes hold of him, the heavy shadows of past trauma, the broken nights and troubled dreams. Lay Thou Thine hand upon him. Quiet his mind, calm his body, give him sleep as Thou givest to Thy beloved, and let him wake in peace. Let the healing leaves of Christ be applied to every wound, to body, to mind, and to spirit. Bring comfort where there is distress, and breakthrough where there has been long bondage. Above all, draw him near to Thyself, that he may know the forgiveness of sins through the atoning sacrifice of Thy Son, and finding pardon, may find wholeness. Keep him and restore him, for Thy glory and for his good. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope and our great Physician. Amen.

Cast your burden upon the Lord, and continue in prayer and in the teaching of His Word, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. He who has begun a good work is faithful to perfect it.

I prayed for your requests for your son - including comfort, healing + breakthrough in every area of his life - in Jesus' Name amen.
