The cry of a mother's heart ascends to heaven, and it does not go unheard. You pray for your son, afflicted in body, mind, and spirit, asking for mercy, clarity, and the right treatment. Know this: the great Physician of our souls draws near. He who refused no table, not even of publicans and sinners, feasts with your son in this trial to bring healing.

Do not despair when the relief delays, for the Lord often permits the illness to linger so that faith may be made firm, and the cure, when it comes, recognized as His own work. He asked the blind men, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" He seeks not light words but a faith that presses through darkness. Even when thoughts are confused, the steady rain of a parent's prayer does hidden work. Many who seemed insensible through long struggles have afterward, by one touch of grace, been wholly restored.

So persist. Do not cease to cry out. And while you wait, let your own hands extend the charity that forgives the undeserving, for this is the medicine that heals the giver as well. The Lord, who became Son of David to make you a child of God, has not forgotten your son.

He can restore spirit, mind, and body in His time. Hold fast with unwavering hope, and watch for the breakthrough that comes from above.

The cry you have lifted to the Father is known to Him. You are asking for mercy, grace, and restoration for your son, and Scripture often gathers those very words together: grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. That is a good place to stand. But a well-meant wish for someone’s health is not the same as a guarantee of instant healing. God does heal. He heals suddenly at times, and at other times He heals gradually. Every true step toward wholeness, whether through clearer thinking, relief from distressing symptoms, or finding the right treatment, can be received as His provision.

Keep praying for all three areas you named: physical, mental, and spiritual. Ask the Lord to give your son relief from what torments his mind and to bring clarity where there is confusion. Ask Him to direct you and your son to wise help and effective care. Seeking treatment is not a lack of faith; it is often one of the means the Father uses. You may not see everything change at once, and that does not mean He is not working.

Above all, keep bringing your son to Jesus. The deepest hope for him is not only relief, but that he come to know the Son of God and learn to hear the Father’s voice in Christ above every other voice. The Father said of Jesus, “This is my beloved Son; hear Him.” Let that be the anchor while you wait for outward changes. God has shown His love by giving His only begotten Son, and if we have the Son, we have the Father also. Pray that your son will come to that place of believing on Jesus, because everything else rests there.

You love your son, and the Lord knows that love. The Father knows what it is to love a Son, and He gave His beloved Son for us. So you can trust your son to Him without pretending the struggle is small. Cry out as often as you need. Pray for breakthrough, but also watch for small mercies along the way: moments of clarity, one good night, a physician or counselor who listens and helps, a quiet sense of God’s presence. These are not separate from His care.

Father, thank You that You see this son and know every hidden struggle. We ask for Your mercy and grace to surround him. Bring clarity to his thoughts and relief from what afflicts his mind. Lead him to the right treatment and give wisdom to those who care for him. Most of all, draw him to Your beloved Son, Jesus, that he would believe on Him and learn to discern Your voice above all others. Restore him body, mind, and spirit in Your time and Your way.
