We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Great Physician, who sees every struggle and knows every need before we even speak it. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. The battle with medication-induced psychosis is fierce, but we know that nothing is too hard for You. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"
Lord, we pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. We ask that You would quiet the confusion in his thoughts, silence the auditory hallucinations, and break the power of delusional beliefs. Replace them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You would open his ears to hear Your voice clearly above all others. Let him know Your truth, Your love, and Your presence in a tangible way. Guide him to the right treatment, the right doctors, and the right support system that will lead him back to wholeness.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, as his parent, to know how to best support him through this trial. Strengthen your faith and fill you with hope as you wait on the Lord. Remember Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion that seeks to torment him. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have plans for him—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand on Your Word, believing that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the authority we have in Jesus to bind and loose, to declare healing and restoration over this young man’s life. Lord, we bind every spirit of confusion, fear, and mental torment that is afflicting him. We loose the peace of God, the clarity of mind, and the soundness of spirit that comes only from You.
We ask that You would surround him with Your angels, protecting his mind and heart from further attack. Let Your Holy Spirit fill every broken place in his soul, bringing comfort, hope, and renewal. Father, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough in his treatment. Guide the hands of his doctors and counselors, giving them wisdom and insight to provide the care he needs. Let every medication, therapy, and intervention work together for his good, according to Your perfect will (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for his spiritual restoration. Draw him close to You, Lord. Let him experience Your love in a powerful way, so that he may know You not just as a distant God, but as a loving Father who cares deeply for him. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we pray that this trial would be the very thing that leads him to the foot of the cross. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working even now, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen our faith to trust in You completely. We declare that this is not the end of his story—it is a testimony of Your power and grace. We speak life, healing, and restoration over him in Jesus’ name.
We also want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord on his behalf. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and surround yourself with a community of believers who can stand with you in faith. Consider fasting as well, for it is a powerful way to humble ourselves before God and seek His face (Joel 2:12). Remember, the enemy may have meant this for harm, but God can turn it around for good (Genesis 50:20).
Lastly, if your son is not already rooted in a relationship with Jesus Christ, we urge you to pray for his salvation. There is no greater healing than the healing of the soul. Share the gospel with him gently but boldly, and trust that the Holy Spirit will do the work of conviction and drawing. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). This is the foundation of all healing and restoration.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May His peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
