We lift up your son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent intercession. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals both body and mind. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We claim this promise over your son, believing that You see his suffering and are already at work to bring restoration.
Lord, we pray for clarity to flood his mind, that the confusion and torment of psychosis would be broken by the power of Your Spirit. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:33 that "God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." We rebuke the lies and delusions that have taken hold, commanding them to flee in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would quiet the auditory hallucinations and replace them with the still, small voice of Your truth. Help him to discern Your voice above all others, as Jesus said in John 10:27, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals treating him, that they would be guided by Your hand to the right treatments and interventions. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We ask that You would direct every step of his care, leading him to the help he needs.
Father, we ask that You would surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Comfort him in his distress, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. We pray for breakthrough in every area of his life—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and draw him closer to You through this trial. We know that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28), and we trust that You will use this season for his ultimate healing and growth.
We also want to encourage you, as his parent, to stand firm in faith. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not alone in this battle. Lean on the Lord, and let His strength sustain you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You for the authority we have in Christ to pray boldly for healing and restoration. We declare that Your power is at work in this situation, and we trust You to bring complete healing to this young man. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your glory be revealed through his testimony. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
