Healing, protection,sleep

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I ask for Your healing touch upon my son ### - physically, mentally, and spiritually. Cast out the spirit of psychosis, and bless him with peaceful sleep and a sound mind. Protect him from all harm and evil and comfort him with Your presence and peace, In Jesus’ name, Amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We stand in agreement with this prayer, asking for Your divine touch upon, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of psychosis in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that "the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We command every lying spirit, every tormenting thought, and every attack of the enemy to flee from him now, in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would grant peaceful and restorative sleep. Your Word tells us that "it is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for he gives sleep to his beloved" (Psalm 127:2). Let him lie down and sleep in peace, knowing that You alone make him dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8). Guard his mind, Lord, and fill it with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him wake refreshed, renewed, and anchored in Your truth.

We also pray for Your hedge of protection around , Lord. Surround him with Your angels, as You have promised: "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). Shield him from every harm, every snare of the enemy, and every scheme of darkness. Let Your presence be his comfort and strength, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). May he feel Your nearness in every moment, especially in his times of struggle.

Father, we know that mental and spiritual battles are real, but we also know that You have given us authority in Jesus’ name to overcome them. We declare that is not defined by his struggles but by the victory You have already won for him on the cross. We speak life, healing, and restoration over his mind, body, and spirit. Let him walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for him (Galatians 5:1).

We encourage you, dear one, to continue standing on God’s promises and seeking His face. Surround with godly counsel, whether through prayer warriors, pastors, or Christian professionals who can walk alongside him in this journey. Remember, "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Keep pressing into the Lord, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers and cleanses him from all unrighteousness. We thank You for Your healing power that flows through his body, mind, and spirit. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment that has held him captive. Let Your light shine into every dark place, and let Your peace reign in his heart. We declare that is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak wholeness and soundness over his life. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him know that You are fighting for him. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re grateful you shared this with us, it’s clear you carry a deep, sleepless love for your son, and we want to stand with you in it. The heaviness of watching someone you care about wrestle with a tortured mind and broken rest is exhausting, and we’re sorry for the weight you’re carrying.

Because your son is experiencing what sounds like psychosis, we’d gently encourage you to have him seen by a doctor or mental health professional, if you haven’t already. That isn’t a lack of faith; God often works through skilled caregivers and wise treatment to bring stability and clarity. Getting good medical help alongside prayer can be a tangible way to love him right now.

As you’ve prayed, we join you in asking for God’s peace to settle over your son’s mind, the kind of peace that quiets the mental chaos and lets his body finally rest. We pray for sound, deep sleep that restores what has been drained, and for God’s protective hedge around him, guarding him from every evil that would exploit his vulnerability. When the nights are long and fear creeps in for both of you, may you sense the quiet presence of Christ himself, near and unafraid.

Father, we bring this son before You now. In the confusion and fear, we ask for Your healing order to break through. Silence the internal noise that terrifies him, and grant him a clear, calm mind. Surround him with Your safety, and let sleep come as a gift, deep, untroubled, and restoring. Cover this family with Your peace that no diagnosis can steal, and give them wisdom for each next step. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The healing leaves of the tree of life are not reserved for some future glory alone, but even now the least thing about Christ is healing. The very hem of His garment, the whisper of His name, the shadow of His cross, these carry virtue to cast out every foul spirit and restore the mind. To ask for healing and peaceful sleep is to reach for those leaves, and the Lord who gives His beloved sleep will not withhold so sweet a gift. Yet never imagine that sleep is a mere natural occurrence; it is God who steeps the mind in forgetfulness and bids us slumber, that the weary frame and troubled spirit may be refreshed. He who holds the stars in their courses holds also the restless thoughts of your son, and He can command a calm as surely upon the soul as upon the raging sea.

But remember that the great Physician does not sever pardon from healing. The two are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Lord comes to dwell with us, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. The palsy of the body and the fever of the mind often walk hand in hand with the deeper malady of sin, and it is to the forgiving God we must look for true restoration. Let your son be brought into the presence of Jesus, not by the tearing open of rooftops, but by the earnest prayers of a mother’s heart, and there, in that presence, lay hold of the promise: “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Forgiveness first, and then the healing streams will flow. The blood that cleanses also quickens, and the voice that speaks pardon speaks peace to the wildest tempest of the mind.

Yet while you plead for this mercy, beware of the dreadful lethargy that can settle upon the soul, the sleep of presumption, where one rests in a false security while remaining unhealed. Let not your son slumber as do others, with the sparks of danger flying into his face yet he perceiving it not. The alarm is sounding; let it awaken in him a cry for the Lord’s own hand. True healing comes not by nodding in the pew, but by a personal transaction with the risen Christ, when the soul can say, “One thing I know: whereas I was blind, now I see.” Pray then that the teaching of Christ, accompanied by His healing presence, may visit your son in his darkness, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The very word that wounds with conviction will also bind up with the balm of Calvary.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, and one leaf is enough for a legion of devils to flee. Cast your care upon Him; He who gives sleep to His beloved can give a sound mind to the afflicted. He can make that dear countenance, now so furrowed by confusion, as fresh and comely as a newborn babe, washed in the fountain of His grace. Let your faith grasp this: that healing and forgiveness are both bestowed upon the Lord’s people when they look not for them, and even now, in the thick of this trial, the still small voice can whisper shalom, perfect peace, and the soul can take its rest.
