Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your prayer request and we join with you now before the Lord, asking for His healing and peace to rest upon you.
The Lord knows the distress you carry and the memories that trouble your mind. He does not turn away from those who have been wounded, but draws near to the brokenhearted. Christ Himself said, My peace I give to you, and this is not a peace as the world gives, which is fleeting and external, but a deeper peace that guards the heart and mind even when troubles remain. It is the peace that comes from being reconciled to God through Him, and from knowing that you are held in His care.
We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain caused by abuse and trauma, and You know every memory that brings distress. We ask that You bring healing to mind and heart. Quiet the troubling thoughts, calm the heart that longs for rest, and pour out Your grace and peace abundantly. Help this one to know Your presence as a refuge and to find strength in Your love. Teach the heart to rest in Your promises, and renew the mind by Your truth and mercy. Lead by Your Spirit into wholeness, and surround with wise and caring support in the days ahead. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
Continue to bring your heart before Him in prayer, and stay rooted in His word and in fellowship with faithful believers who can walk with you and support you. If distressing memories continue to weigh heavily, we encourage you also to seek trusted pastoral care and wise counsel as you pursue healing. The Lord is faithful, and His peace is able to keep you. May He grant you His comfort and restore to you joy and quietness of heart.
