We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is struggling with COPD and asthma. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed his lungs and every part of his body in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We declare Your healing power over him, asking that You would touch his respiratory system, remove all inflammation, and cleanse any infection that may be present. Lord, we pray for the strengthening of his immune system, that it would be fortified to fight off illness and viruses according to Your perfect design.
We also ask that You would grant him ease in breathing, especially in this season of high heat, which can exacerbate his symptoms. Your Word tells us that You are near to those who are brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust in Your compassion and mercy, believing that You hear our cries and will answer according to Your will.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress him. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we declare freedom over this dear one in the mighty name of Jesus. We speak life and restoration to his lungs, his airways, and his entire body. May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as he rests in Your care.
We also want to encourage this family to stand on the promises of God’s Word. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." This healing is not just spiritual but physical as well, and we claim it for this son. Let them hold fast to their faith, knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your love and comfort. Give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You. May they find strength in Your presence and hope in Your promises. We pray that this son would not only experience physical healing but also a deepening of his relationship with You. Draw him closer to Your heart, Lord, and let him know that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
