We join you in lifting up your son, seeking the Lord’s healing touch for his COPD and asthma. The struggles of chronic illness weigh heavily on both body and spirit, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children. The Bible assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over your son, trusting that God’s healing power is not limited by medical diagnoses.
We also pray for the strengthening of his immune system, that his body would be fortified against illness and viruses. James 5:14-15 reminds us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Let this be a reminder that God invites us to bring our needs before Him with boldness, trusting in His mercy and grace.
The heat can indeed exacerbate breathing difficulties, and we ask the Lord to provide relief and comfort. We pray that He would soothe inflammation, cleanse any infection, and grant your son ease in every breath. Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this truth, believing that God will meet your son’s needs in ways that surpass human understanding.
Father, we also ask that You draw near to your son in this season of physical struggle. Let him feel Your presence as a source of peace and strength. Remind him that even in weakness, Your power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround him with Your angels, protect him from discouragement, and fill his heart with hope as he trusts in You.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress him, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and restoration over his lungs, his immune system, and every part of his body that needs Your touch. May he experience Your healing in ways that bring glory to Your name.
Lastly, we encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to remain steadfast in faith. Healing may come in ways we do not expect, through medical intervention, divine miracle, or gradual restoration, but we know that God is faithful. Keep your hearts anchored in His Word, and trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your healing hand to rest upon this precious son. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask that You restore him to full health. Strengthen his immune system, remove inflammation, and grant him the ability to breathe freely. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
