Healing from COPD, asthma

"The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health." (Psalm 41:3)
Father humbly ask for complete restoration, full strength in his lungs and in his immune system, also Lord please help him rest peacefully, and comfort him every moment. Thank You Lord in Jesus Name Amen

You do well to bring your son before the throne of grace, for the Lord is the healer of every disease and the restorer of breath to the weary. I have heard your prayer, and I join my supplications to yours, asking that Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, send forth His healing beams upon your son. What is this inflammation and tightness of chest but a bitter frost settling upon his body? Yet the warmth of the Savior’s mercy can melt away that frost, cleansing every infection and granting him to breathe freely under the strain of the heat.

Do not lose heart if the relief you seek does not appear at once. Remember the Canaanite woman, who followed the Lord with long attendance and importunity, even accepting the rebuff that seemed to push her away. It was only after her persistent cry that He finally granted the healing of her daughter, though He had the mercy to heal her all along. So also, the tree that receives many strokes of the axe does not fall at the first blow; yet every stroke weakens it, until at the last, one final blow topples it entirely. Your prayers, repeated day after day, are not wasted. They may seem to produce no immediate change, but they are slowly felling the sickness, and in a moment when you least expect it, the whole affliction will come crashing down.

At the same time, do not think that such delay is always required. The Samaritan woman at the well, when she heard the Lord’s word, believed at once and hastened to embrace the promise of living water. Both responses come from the hand of God, who knows the proper time for each gift. Whether the healing arrives swiftly or after long entreaty, your part is to remain steadfast, neither despairing nor accusing the Lord of neglect. For even if your son were brought to the very gates of death, it is possible to recover, to renew his strength, to lay hold on life again. How many, after the physicians have given up all hope, have been restored by the merciful will of God!

Therefore, continue in prayer, and we pray with you. May the Lord who opened the eyes of the blind, who made the lame to walk, and who stilled the storms, look upon your son with compassion. May He remove all inflammation, cleanse any hidden infection, and fortify his immune system against every virus and illness. May He grant him breath that comes easy even in scorching weather. And may you, O woman of faith, receive the comfort of the Spirit, knowing that your importunity honors God and draws down His pity. In the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever. Amen.

I hear the ache behind these words, the weight a parent carries when each breath their child takes sounds like a struggle. That oppressive heat only makes everything heavier. It reminds me of those season-shifting days when the air itself feels like a burden, and the only prayer left is for relief, for a break, for the fog to roll in and the temperature to drop. You are not wrong to bring this before the Lord with such directness. He invites us to ask for cleansing, for the easing of inflammation, for the removal of infection. I join you in that request, asking the Father right now to quiet the airways, to calm the lungs, and to let your son draw a deep, free breath even in this heat.

We long for the kind of healing you can feel, the moment when sickness lifts and strength returns so suddenly you jump up from the bed and go about your day. The testimony of Scripture is full of such moments, and I have known people who have experienced something friends and neighbors could not deny. Anxious friends told to come to the house and let someone pray because God had been moving. A person simply building others up with the news of what Jesus can do, and the Lord honoring that bold, simple trust. Let that encourage you. Your faith, expressed right now in this prayer, is a gift. It is not about having a special hand or a special technique. The laying on of hands, the anointing with oil, these are not magical acts. They are a point of contact for releasing faith into the hands of a living God. Jesus is the healer. We release our loved ones into His care because there truly is no other name by which we are saved, and no other path to the Father but through Him.

Yet, we must also be careful not to put on you a burden God Himself does not put on you. Even the Apostle Paul, through whom extraordinary miracles were done, had a dear fellow worker who was sick nearly to death. Not everyone was healed. God’s ways in this are often beyond our tracing out. His thoughts are not our thoughts. There is no simple, one-size-fits-all answer to why some are healed instantly and others must wait, or why some are healed of one thing but not another. It is a cruel falsehood that places guilt on the sick or on their loved ones, as if a lack of healing equals a lack of faith. Do not let that lie settle on your heart for a second. The Lord’s healing work is sovereign, and He acts according to His perfect wisdom and timing. Our part is to ask, to trust, and to rest in His love.

So we pray, right now, for your son. Lord Jesus, we ask You to strengthen his immune system to fight off every virus and illness. Remove the deep inflammation, cleanse away any hidden infection. In this oppressive heat, be his breath. Let Your presence be a break in the weather for him, a sudden, merciful relief. We place our trust not in a formula, but in the living God who hears us. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your son before the Lord in prayer. It was our honor to stand with you in agreement, asking our Heavenly Father for complete healing from COPD and asthma, for His mighty hand to strengthen his immune system, and for every trace of inflammation and infection to be cleansed. We prayed earnestly that he would breathe freely and easily, even in the midst of the heat, and we continue to hold fast to God’s promise of restoration and wholeness.

If you’ve seen God’s healing touch in your son’s life—whether through improved breathing, renewed strength, or any sign of His faithfulness—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking a similar path.

If, however, the answer hasn’t yet manifested in the way you hoped, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent prayer, trusting that our God hears and moves on behalf of His children. Let us continue to intercede together, believing for His perfect timing and His perfect will.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His peace, comfort, and assurance as you seek Him. May His presence surround you, His strength sustain you, and His love remind you that you are never alone. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
