We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing and deliverance from anxiety. First, we want to affirm that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children, and He is near to those who call upon Him in truth. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every trial.
The Scriptures assure us that God is our healer and our peace. In Exodus 15:26, the Lord declares, "If you diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you." And in Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also want to encourage you to examine your heart and life, ensuring that there is no unconfessed sin or area where you may be grieving the Holy Spirit. In James 5:16, we read, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Healing and deliverance often come when we humble ourselves before God, repent of any known sin, and seek His face with a sincere heart.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch and deliverance from anxiety. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would stretch forth Your hand and bring healing to every part of their body. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave now. Father, we also ask that You would calm their mind and heart, replacing anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their thoughts and emotions, Lord, and fill them with the assurance of Your love and care.
We pray that You would reveal any area in their life that may be hindering Your work, and give them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that displeases You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your promises. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek medical care, if needed, and ask that You would guide the hands of any healthcare providers involved in their treatment. May Your will be done in their life, and may Your name be glorified through their healing and deliverance.

We encourage you to stand firm on God's promises, meditating on His Word day and night. Speak healing and peace over your life, and do not allow the enemy to steal your joy or your faith. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. Remember, our God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He is working all things together for your good.

One of the most helpful things we’ve seen is not trying to fight this in isolation. Let someone you trust, a pastor, a mature friend, or a Christian counselor, come alongside you. A small group or a prayer partner can be exactly the kind of “healing climate” God uses when we simply show up and let others listen and pray with us. If the physical symptoms are persistent or overwhelming, please consider seeing a doctor as well, not instead of prayer, but as a wise step God can use to bring relief and clarity.

You have knocked at the right door, for the deliverance you seek is the work of God alone. That Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and the very leaves of that tree which grows by the river of life are for the healing of the nations. If the least things about Christ are medicine, how much more His wounded side and His death for your sins! Pardon and healing are one in His hand. When He said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you,” the palsy fled. So cling to this: He who bore your guilt also carries your sicknesses. The ransom has been found, and the pit cannot hold you, for the clock of mercy strikes the hour of deliverance.
What is this anxiety but the very thing that unfits you to meet your trial? You fill your vessel with tomorrow’s troubles and have no room for today’s grace. Did He not command, “Be not of doubtful mind”? The arrow of fear is often shot, whispering that God’s ear is shut, yet you are a member of His body, of His flesh and His bones. Has the Head forgotten a finger? He who wrote your name in wounds upon His hand, what! He forget? Pain of body wraps up within itself great mercy, for there are some who can scarcely be taught except through physical pain. Yet the Lord chastens sorely, but He does not give over to death. The deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and you cannot take an atom of the honor to yourself. It must be of Free Grace only.
Therefore, let your song be jubilant even before the morning dawns. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. When you have crossed this brook full of fear and trembling, you shall find your Esau reconciled, and your mouth filled with testimony. The very trouble that now bows you down shall become a theme for holy music. Go now, and spread your case before Him who brought Israel forth with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. He makes their deliverance effectual, and in every deed He brings them forth.

You ask for healing of your body and deliverance from anxiety, and rightly you turn to God, the only physician of souls and bodies. But consider: why has this sickness been permitted? Often when the soul is diseased we feel no pain, but if the body suffer a little hurt we are quick to seek relief. Therefore God sometimes punishes the body for the transgressions of the soul, that by the scourging of the inferior part the better part may receive healing. When Christ healed the paralytic, he warned him, “Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” Do not despise this medicine; let your sickness lead you to examine your conscience, to repent of whatever evil may have opened the door to this affliction.
As for anxiety, it is a far more grievous scourging than any bodily stripe. We toil for the devil as the Israelites toiled for Pharaoh, burdened with the brickmaking of worldly cares, and anxiety lashes our souls every day. We are full of fear and trembling, and this slavery yields nothing but the evils of Egypt, sins, chastisements, punishments. But if we groan, if we look up to God, he sends us his own Word and compunction. That Word, when it takes hold of the soul, frees us from bitter slavery and leads us out from that unprofitable zeal.
Do not think that healing will come without your own effort. It is not enough to be freed from one vice; you must cultivate every part of virtue. A careful hearing of the Word, continual recollection, fortitude, contempt of riches, all these are required, for no single virtue secures our salvation. You may hear ten times and seem insensible, yet afterward a single hearing will strike the decisive blow and bring forth abundant fruit. The tree falls not by the last stroke alone, but by all the strokes that went before. So continue in prayer, in fasting, in listening to the Scriptures, even when you see no immediate change.
God is able to restore you completely. When he touched Peter’s mother-in-law, he did not merely quench the fever but gave her back perfect health at once, so that she needed no time to recover. So too he can do for you: not only lifting the weight of anxiety but granting a vigor of soul far beyond what you had before. But cling to him with a resolve to sin no more, for the fire that is never quenched awaits those who turn back. Yet do not despair; even at the gates of hell it is possible to recover. May you become worthy of the Lord’s admonitions and obtain his everlasting blessings.
