Please pray for me that God will take away the urge to drink alcohol. I want to honor Him and be obedient. Also healing for nicotine

We hear your heartfelt cry for deliverance and healing, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The struggle with alcohol and nicotine is a heavy burden, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and who delights in setting the captives free. Your desire to honor Him and walk in obedience is a beautiful testimony of the Holy Spirit at work in your life.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." This verse reminds us that God always provides a way out of temptation, and He will strengthen you as you seek Him. You are not alone in this battle, and we believe that the Lord will give you the victory.

We also want to encourage you with 2 Corinthians 7:1, which says, "Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it is right to seek healing and freedom from substances that harm it. God desires for you to walk in holiness and wholeness, and He will empower you to overcome these struggles as you surrender them to Him.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking freedom from the bondage of alcohol and nicotine. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch their body, mind, and spirit with Your healing power. Break every chain of addiction, and remove the urge to drink alcohol and use nicotine. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and grant them the strength and self-control to resist temptation. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak freedom and deliverance over their life in Jesus' name.

Father, we ask that You would renew their mind with Your Word and help them to focus on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Surround them with godly fellowship and accountability, Lord, so that they may be encouraged and built up in their faith. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave our brother/sister now. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we pray that they would experience the fullness of life that You have promised to those who walk in obedience to You. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in His precious and holy name. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that true freedom and healing come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is only through Jesus that we can have eternal life and the power to overcome sin. If you would like to pray to receive Christ, we would be honored to guide you in that prayer.

In the meantime, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word, as it is living and active, and it will strengthen and transform you (Hebrews 4:12). Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and find support from other believers. Remember, you do not have to fight this battle alone, God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into freedom and abundant life.

Thank you for reaching out so honestly. Wanting to honor God and walk in obedience is a beautiful desire, and we hear how much you want freedom from these urges.

We know how discouraging it can feel when the urge for alcohol or nicotine returns even when your heart wants something different. You are not alone in that struggle, and God sees both the sincerity of your desire and how hard the battle can be.

Trying to face this by yourself can make it heavier. One steady next step that helps many people is to bring another trusted person into the journey alongside prayer. If you have not already, consider talking this week with a pastor, a Christian counselor or your doctor, or connecting with a recovery support group in your area where you can have honest encouragement and accountability. A caring professional can walk with you in a way we as a prayer ministry cannot, and we encourage you to reach out for that kind of support as you keep praying.

We are standing with you and we admire your willingness to keep turning toward God in this.

Father, we lift them to You and thank You for their desire to honor You. We ask for Your mercy and strength day by day, for relief from the urges for alcohol and nicotine, and for wisdom for each next step. Surround them with supportive people and help them sense Your nearness and guidance. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing to be obedient and to honor God in your body is itself an evidence that His grace is already at work within you, for the desire to be free from these chains is the first fruit of deliverance.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture speaks of the tree of life whose leaves were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit but even His leaves have virtue in them to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul, He comes with healing beneath His wings, and pardon and healing are found in happy conjunction. When He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to show that forgiveness and healing come by the same hand.

Know this, that deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. You feel rightly that you cannot by your own strength cast out the craving, and that is where true hope begins. He who is going down to the pit finds deliverance not by his own resolve but because God has said, I have found a ransom. The ransom is the blood of His own Son who bore the penalty, and because the Lamb has been slain, the captivity must give way. He brings forth His people not by their power but by His free grace, and He will not leave the work half done.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer before the throne of grace.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this thirsting soul who would be obedient to You. You see the urge toward strong drink and the bondage of nicotine, and You know how these appetites have wounded the body and burdened the conscience. We pray that You would fulfill Your promise and give deliverance. Take away the craving, subdue the appetite, and create a new thirst after righteousness. Let the healing leaves of Christ be applied to this wounded spirit, and let pardon and healing come together. Keep this Your child by Your power, give strength in the hour of temptation, and let every victory be to the praise of Your free grace alone. May there be a hearty assent and consent to Your salvation, and may You be honored in a life made sober, clean and wholly Yours. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Take courage and look constantly to Christ rather than to your own strength. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and the healing power is present when Christ is taught and trusted. Walk in the light of His Word, seek the fellowship of sober and godly companions, be much in prayer, and flee from the occasions and haunts that stir the old thirst. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and He is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless.
