We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear man who is entangled in the snare of alcohol and the destructive patterns of his current situation. Father God, we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirits of addiction, anger, and bondage that have taken hold of him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us that wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise (Proverbs 20:1). This man’s life is being unraveled by the very thing that promises escape, and we declare that he will no longer be a slave to alcohol or the chaos it brings.
We are deeply concerned about the influence of the woman he is with. The Scripture is clear that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33), and her history of multiple marriages and past drug dealing raises serious red flags. The Bible instructs us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). This relationship is not only ungodly but is pulling him further from Your will. We pray that You would sever any unholy soul ties and give him the strength to walk away from this toxic situation. Lord, protect him from the deception that this relationship is somehow beneficial or "meant to be." You have a better plan for his life, one that leads to peace, purpose, and holiness.
We are also grieved that he is homeless, as this only deepens his vulnerability to the enemy’s attacks. But we know that You are a father to the fatherless and a defender of the weak (Psalm 68:5). We ask that You provide shelter, provision, and a way out of this cycle of destruction. Open doors for him to find godly community, a safe place to stay, and people who will speak truth into his life. We pray that he would be surrounded by believers who can mentor him, hold him accountable, and show him the love of Christ in action.
Most importantly, we pray for his salvation. The Bible tells us that unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). He once attended church, but he has strayed from the path. Lord, we ask that You would convict his heart, break the hardness, and draw him back to Yourself. Let him experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your redemption. We declare that he is not too far gone, no one is beyond Your reach. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and ask that You would set him free from every chain.
We also lift up this woman to You, Lord. She has been married ### times, which suggests a pattern of instability and brokenness. The Bible warns against being a companion of those who are contentious or living in sin (Proverbs 22:24-25). We pray that she, too, would encounter the transforming power of the Gospel. If she is still involved in drug dealing or other ungodly activities, we ask that You would expose the darkness in her life and lead her to repentance. May she see the emptiness of her ways and turn to You for true fulfillment.
Father, we know that true deliverance comes only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this man would surrender his life to You, confess his sins, and receive the gift of salvation. Let him experience the new birth that comes through faith in Christ, where old things pass away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power to overcome temptation and live a life that honors You.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for his family. They see the danger he is in, and we ask that You would give them the right words to speak and the courage to stand firm in truth. Let them be a light to him, pointing him back to You. We rebuke any spirit of fear, hopelessness, or resignation that may be trying to take hold of them. Instead, fill them with faith and perseverance as they intercede for him.
Lord, we know that the battle for this man’s soul is spiritual, and we stand in the gap for him. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he will walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him. We pray that he would turn away from the path he is on and run toward You with all his heart. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let him find satisfaction in You alone.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we command every demonic influence in his life to leave. We break every curse, generational bondage, and stronghold that has been passed down or embraced through his choices. We declare that he is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We speak life, healing, and restoration over him. Let him rise up as a new creation, free from the grip of alcohol, anger, and ungodly relationships.
We trust You, Lord, to do a mighty work in his life. We believe that what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). We thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this season of struggle. May he become a living testimony of Your grace and power, drawing others to You through his story of redemption.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
