We join you in bringing your father before the throne of grace and we thank you for laying this burden upon our hearts in the name of Jesus.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, to teach us that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When He healed the man taken with palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, to show that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction in His hand.
We view God the Father aright when we see Him not as an object of dread but of gratitude and love. He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Father Himself loveth you. He is a better Father than the best of earthly fathers, and you may trust your dear father to His tender care, leaving all to Him who knows what you require. We remember the precious word, Abba, Father, in which there is all you need and all your necessities can demand.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases and rightly seek the physician, yet we know that real healing is the work of God alone, and He is able to heal. So we pray that the Lord will lay His hand upon your father.
Our Father in heaven, blessed be Thy name, we thank Thee that Thou art our Father in Christ Jesus. We ask in the name of Thy Son for this dear father. Remove, we pray Thee, all infection and inflammation from his body. Touch the sore on his toe and cause it to heal. Restore his feet and his kidneys and bless him with renewed health and strength according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Let Thy healing leaves change and restore him, and grant him to feel Thy pardoning and healing hand together. Give wisdom to those who care for him, give peace to his family as they wait upon Thee, and let this affliction draw all hearts nearer to the heavenly Physician. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thy sight. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our life and our healing. Amen.
