We join with you in lifting up your friend before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ for his healing, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we find healing.
We are moved by your love and concern for your friend and we stand in agreement with you that whatever affliction is at work in his body would be removed and that he would be set free. Scripture reminds us that our God is our healer. He says, I am Yahweh who heals you in Exodus 15:26, and again, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17, and But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our dear friend's friend before You. You know his body, You formed him, and You see what is troubling him even when doctors may not fully understand. We ask for Your healing hand to touch him, to reveal what is wrong and to restore what is broken. Lord, we pray that You would drive out all sickness, inflammation, pain, and disease from his body and make him whole according to Your will. Grant him strength, peace, and comfort in this time of uncertainty, and grant wisdom to those caring for him. Let Your peace which passes all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus as it says in Philippians 4:7. We also pray that through this trial he and those who love him would draw nearer to You and experience Your presence and power. We pray that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up as You have promised in James 5:15. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our hope, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith for him, to keep praying without ceasing as we are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and to trust that God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name. Continue to be a faithful friend to him, speaking encouragement, helping him to seek wise medical care while also trusting the Lord for healing, and reminding him that God is near to all who call upon Him.

We have heard your burden for your friend and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.
We come with humility, for humility is the fit attitude of prayer, confessing that all healing and all mercy must come from the Lord alone. We do not plead any merit of our own, but we plead the merit and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother and who loves at all times.
We pray that the Lord, who is the Great Physician, would lay His healing hand upon your friend. He does not merely send a prescription by another, but He Himself draws near to the sick and there is healing in His touch and life in His look. We ask that whatever affliction is at work in his body would be removed according to the will of our gracious God, and that he would be made free and restored to strength. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing in His wings, for even the leaves of the tree of Christ are for the healing of the nations and there is abundance of healing power in Him.
We also pray for his soul, that if he does not yet know Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit would apply the Word of God to his heart, for it is the Word, and Christ Himself who is the Word, who heals sin sick souls. True healing includes the forgiveness of sins, and we ask that he would know the pardon that comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other.
We encourage you to continue in prevailing prayer, for the sword of prayer will cut through coats of mail and God hears the prayer of those who are at their wit's end, even when words are few and the heart can only groan before Him. Cast your friend fully upon Christ, our faithful Friend in sickness and in health, and trust Him to answer according to His perfect wisdom and love.
