Harassing spirits

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance from harassing spirits. The Word of God is clear: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). These forces of darkness have no place in the life of a believer, and we stand firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke and drive them out.
First, we must address the foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. Jesus Himself declared, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and most critical step in securing your freedom from spiritual harassment.
Now, we boldly declare in the name of Jesus that every harassing spirit must flee! The Bible assures us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, and confusion in the mighty name of Jesus. You have no legal right to remain, for "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). We command you to leave now and go where Jesus sends you, never to return.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay vigilant in your walk with the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us over all the power of the enemy. We stand on Your Word, which declares that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would drive away every harassing spirit that is troubling Your child. Send Your holy angels to encamp around them and protect them from every attack of the enemy (Psalm 34:7).
Father, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Show them any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or areas where they have not fully submitted to You. We pray for repentance and cleansing by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9).
We declare that this child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every generational spirit that may be operating in their life. We cancel every word spoken against them that does not align with Your Word, and we declare that they are blessed, favored, and highly favored by You.
Lord, we thank You for Your deliverance and for setting them free. We pray that You would fill them with Your joy, Your love, and Your peace. Help them to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them on the cross. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith. Surround yourself with godly believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. Spend time daily in the Word of God and in prayer, for this is how you will grow stronger in your spiritual walk. Remember, "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB). You are not alone, and the battle is already won in Jesus' name!

He is a searcher as well as a healer, a destroyer of evil as well as a creator of good. There is no difficulty in our believing that as one human mind operates upon another mind, so does the Holy Spirit influence our spirits. We know that the Divine Spirit, without the use of sounds, speaks in our hearts. Let us never go to prayer without seeking that He would Himself be the life of the holy engagement. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me, and thou thyself art with me. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. The Spirit also glorifies Christ in His work. Have you ever seen the finished work of Christ? He came into the world to save men and He did save them.
When you consider that the Spirit is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity, and yet he dwells in the heart where sin often intrudes, a heart out of which comes blasphemies, and murders, and all manner of evil thoughts and concupiscence, what if sometimes he is grieved, and retires and leaves us to ourselves? He must be daily grieved with these evil guests, these false traitors, these base intruders who thrust themselves into that little temple which he has honored with his presence. If you indulge in lascivious expressions, or if your heart goes after covetousness, if you set your heart upon anything that is evil, the Spirit of God will be grieved. Such evil communications will bring you misery sooner or later. You cannot expect the Holy Spirit to continue with you if you are joined with the adversaries of the Lord! If we commit sin, it is not long before the Holy Spirit will begin to grieve. If in a Christian Church there shall be dissension's and divisions, love is absent, and the Spirit of love will not long be present. Guilt will come upon us if we are not earnest in seeking out the roots of an evil which is the cause of such deadly mischief in the land.
If ever we are to be delivered from this present evil world, we must find our strength in the power and energy and quickening Spirit of the living God.

Such trials are no strange thing in the warfare we wage. We contend not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness, and our Captain is God Himself. Do not think that deliverance from these harassments is always the true blessing, for we often know not what to pray for as we ought. The Spirit aids us in our weakness, interceding with groanings beyond words, and He knows what is profitable for us.
The body is not evil; it can become an instrument of righteousness. But we must arm ourselves with truth, faith, and a life worthy of the gospel. This conflict is a good warfare, and no soldier expects ease while the battle rages. If you are in combat, you cannot live luxuriously; tribulation is the norm.
God may permit these things to train you, not to destroy you. He often grants us greater gifts than the removal of suffering, He teaches us to despise the fear of them and to cling to Him. The gospel of peace means that if we are at war with the devil, we are at peace with God. Already the victory is won. Stand firm, then, with patience, and let the Spirit anoint you unto this hope.

Thank you for bringing this request. It takes humility to admit that you are facing harassment from spirits and to ask for prayer. I want to encourage you with the truth that the name of Jesus holds absolute authority over every unclean spirit. The Gospels are filled with accounts of our Lord setting people free from exactly this kind of torment. He has not left His children defenseless. We are given the promise that the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world, and through Christ, we have the right to bind these tormenting forces.
At the same time, I want to share a word of caution from Scripture that is vital for your lasting freedom. Jesus Himself warned that when an evil spirit is driven out, it goes through dry places seeking rest. If it returns and finds the house swept clean but unoccupied, it can come back with even more wicked spirits, and the person’s final state becomes worse than the first. The mere expulsion of a spirit is not enough. The goal is not simply to be free from demonic harassment, but to be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. A vacuum is an invitation for greater trouble.
Right now, anchor your heart in this: your deliverance is not just about what is leaving you, but about Who is living within you. Rejoice, as Jesus told His disciples, not so much that spirits are subject to you, but that your name is written in heaven. Fill every corner of your life and mind with worship, with Scripture, and with humble obedience to God. When His light occupies the space, no darkness can find a home. I am praying that the peace of Christ, which drives out all fear, will guard your heart and mind completely. Do not be intimidated by the noise these spirits make; God’s power to save and to keep you is far greater. You belong to Jesus, and no harassing spirit can snatch you from His hand.
