Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire for good days, for healing and peace of mind for yourself and your family, and for care over your pets. It is good to bring these longings to God, and it is right to look to the blood of Jesus, because it is through Him alone that we have forgiveness and peace with God.
I hear in your request a deep desire for happiness and for a life without worry, described as living in zen. The Bible speaks of a different and deeper peace. True peace is not a state of mind we create by our own words or by speaking life into existence, and it is not found in emptying the mind. True peace comes from being made right with God. Scripture invites us to become acquainted with God and so be at peace, to receive His word into our hearts. That peace comes when we are justified before Him through Jesus Christ, when we confess that we have sinned and trust in what Christ has done for us on the cross.
The story of Job helps us here. He was a man who feared God and turned away from evil, blessed with a close and loving family, and he faithfully prayed for his household. Yet he lost his possessions, his family, and his health, and even his friends failed to comfort him. In that stripping away, the deepest questions of his heart were exposed. He cried out in misery and said things about life and death that he did not truly understand, and his friends offered empty answers, telling him that if he were innocent God would not have allowed suffering, or that prosperity and health are always guaranteed to the faithful.
God answered Job not by explaining every reason, but by revealing His own wisdom and power as Creator, the One who laid the foundations of the earth and controls the sea and the heavens. Job came to see that God had not cast him away and that trust does not depend on having only good days. Even in great loss Job learned to say, though He slay me yet will I trust Him, and to maintain his ways honestly before God rather than pretending or repeating false assurances.
This does not mean God does not care about your daily life, your home, or your pets. He does care for our dwellings and gives us rest and safety according to His mercy. But the joy and fulfillment Scripture points to is not found in demanding that every day be free of trouble because we have declared it so. It is found in being centered in His will, knowing that whether days are bright or hard, we are held by Him and can see His face with joy because Christ has made us righteous.
So my prayer for you is that God would draw you closer to Himself, that you would know the healing of a mind renewed by His truth and the quietness that only He can give, a quietness that no trouble can take away. I pray that He would watch over your family and your home and keep you in His peace, and that you would know the joy of His presence above all else. May you grow in knowing His love and grace through Jesus Christ, trusting Him not only for good days but in every day, and finding your deepest rest in belonging to Him.
