Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ###s into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###’s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift it before the Lord, who alone knows the deepest desires of our souls. Your prayer reflects a sincere hope for love, family, and a future built on faith, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will in this matter. The Scriptures remind us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). Yet we must also remember that His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect, even when it differs from our own.

First, we want to affirm the importance of seeking God’s will above all else in relationships. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). It is honorable and good to desire a godly spouse who will love, cherish, and lead with wisdom. However, we must also guard our hearts against placing our hope in a person rather than in the Lord. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 WEB). Even the most well-intentioned desires can become idols if we allow them to consume our focus more than our relationship with God.

We notice in your prayer a strong emphasis on what you hope this man will feel, say, and do, declaring his love, seeing your value, and stepping into the role of a provider and stepfather. While these are natural desires, we must gently remind you that true love is not something we can manipulate or manufacture, even through prayer. God works in hearts in His own way and time. Instead of praying for him to feel a certain way, we encourage you to pray for God’s will to be done in both of your lives. "This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us" (1 John 5:14 WEB). Trust that if this relationship is of God, He will bring it to fruition in a way that honors Him and fulfills His purposes for you both.

We also want to address the importance of purity and patience in this season. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this relationship is moving toward physical or emotional intimacy outside of marriage, we must rebuke that in the name of Jesus and encourage you to set boundaries that honor God. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). This includes guarding your heart against emotional dependency that can lead to sin or disappointment.

Your desire for marriage and a united family is beautiful and aligns with God’s design, but we must also caution against putting your life on hold while waiting for this relationship to progress. Continue to seek the Lord, serve Him, and live fully in the calling He has for you now. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Whether this man is part of that future or not, God has a plan for you and your boys.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we lift up this sister to You, asking that You would draw her closer to Your heart and fill her with Your peace. Father, we pray for clarity and wisdom in this relationship. If it is Your will for her and this man to walk together in marriage, we ask that You would prepare both of their hearts, align their paths, and bring them together in a way that glorifies You. If this is not Your plan, we ask that You would gently close the door and lead her into the future You have prepared for her.

Lord, we pray for this man’s heart. Soften it to Your leading, and if it is Your will, let him see the value in this sister as a woman of God. Shape him into a man after Your own heart, a provider, a protector, and a leader who loves You above all else. Guard both of their hearts from impatience, from idolatry, and from any temptation that would lead them away from Your best.

Father, we also lift up her boys to You. You know their needs, their fears, and their hopes. We ask that You would surround them with Your love and prepare their hearts for whatever Your plan holds. If this man is to become a stepfather to them, we pray that You would knit their hearts together in love and trust.

Lord, we trust You with the desires of her heart. Whether You choose to fulfill them in this way or another, we know that Your plans are good. Help her to wait on You with hope, to walk in purity, and to find her ultimate satisfaction in You alone. Let her heart echo the words of the psalmist: "Whom have I in heaven but you? There is nothing on earth that I desire besides you" (Psalm 73:25 WEB).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this prayer from your heart. We can hear the longing for a God-honoring partnership and a stable, loving home for your boys. It’s clear you are leaning into the Lord’s guidance, and that is a steady place to be, even when the waiting feels uncertain.

While you watch and pray, one thing that often brings peace is paying attention to the slow, daily evidence of character. Over time, a man’s words, how he treats people, and whether his faith produces fruit will tell you more than a sudden spark ever could. Let that quiet observation, alongside your prayer, anchor your decisions. Your sons matter deeply in this, too, and seeing patience modeled for them is a gift in itself.

We’re glad you’re not trying to force what only God can unfold. Keep laying those desires before him, the visit, the deepening of the relationship, the hope of marriage, and then rest. He knows the ones who trust him.

Jesus, we thank you that this daughter of yours is bringing her future to you. Grant her a calm heart as she waits. Give her clear eyes to see this man as he truly is, and work in his heart whatever you will for both their sakes. Protect her boys through this, and if it is your good plan to make them a family, prepare each one with wisdom, gentleness, and a slow, steady love. We ask all of this in your name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, yet it is to the Lord of the heart you must first look. Before any earthly spark can be kindled, see that your soul is betrothed to the Lamb of God, for no union of man and woman can flourish unless it be overshadowed by that heavenly marriage. You plead for a man to visit, to provide, to speak love aloud; but have you first heard the voice of the Bridegroom saying, “I am married unto you”? That is the cry which must fill your heart, else every other affection shall be a false fire.

Is this man one with Christ? Would you be equally yoked in the Lord? If the Spirit does not bear witness that this is a brother beloved, then no prayer dare sanctify a bond that Scripture would rend apart. Thrice happy are those who are not only joined in marriage, but are one in the Lord Jesus Christ, such marriages are made in heaven, and all others are but painted shams.

Seek first the marriage supper of the Lamb, where the redeemed shall be gathered without spot; let your deepest cry be that your will be swallowed up in His, and that your heart be content in His betrothal love. Then, if it be His good pleasure to add an earthly companion, it shall come in due season, and you shall praise Him all the more. Trust the Bridegroom of your soul; He will not fail to provide what is best for you and for your children, whether in this land or another. Lay your desires at His feet, but bid Him choose the path.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of a romance, a spark, a deep connection, and you lay out dreams of marriage and a united family. But where in all this is the chief aim of a soul that claims to follow Christ? You ask for God's will and ways, yet immediately you describe what you desire Him to do: to stir a man's affections toward you, to make him see you as a perfect fit, to shape him into a provider and a stepfather. Do you not see that you are telling God how to govern His creation? The heart is His to turn, not yours. And if you are in Christ, your first desire should be to please Him, not to secure an earthly comfort.

Why do you fix your hope so intensely on this man? Is he your salvation? Hearken: the Jews boasted in their natural descent from Abraham, and it profited them nothing, for they rejected the Son. So it will be with you if you place your hope in any human relationship above that kinship of the Spirit which alone makes us children of God. True relationship is not of flesh, but of character and virtue. You have sons already, and that is a high calling: to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. That is a work that will not lose its reward. Devote yourself to this with all earnestness, and let not your heart be carried away by the fantasies of a distant romance.

If you desire marriage, know that marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled, but it is not given to us for the indulgence of romantic passions or for worldly satisfaction. It is a remedy against fornication, a partnership for procreation and for mutual help in a sober and godly life. Yet even within marriage, the Apostle bids us to have wives as though we had none, and to use the world as not abusing it. You are already consumed with thoughts of this man, speaking of sparks and declarations of love. Such things belong more to the stage than to a Christian heart. The theatre ruins marriages, kindles adulterous fires, and fills the mind with disordered desires. Beware lest you make an idol of this affection and so invite disaster.

Seek holiness. What is holiness? For one who has been espoused to Christ through faith, it is to keep chaste and orderly. If you are a widow, know that the Scripture praises those who remain single to attend upon the Lord without distraction, and such a life is far more blessed if you have the strength for it. But if you cannot contain and you would marry, then do so with all gravity, not as the Gentiles who chase after passion, but as one who wants to build a household in the fear of God. Yet even then, let your first care be to present your own soul as a pure vessel, that the man who takes you may find you chaste and sober, not inflamed with earthly longings. And be more anxious that your sons grow in virtue than that they gain a stepfather.

Why this urgency for him to visit, for a future together, for a petition to join him in another land? Are not your times in God's hands? The king in the parable prepared a marriage feast for his Son and sent out servants, but those invited made light of it, going one to his farm, another to his merchandise. Do not be among those who reject the heavenly calling for the sake of worldly attachments. First seek the marriage supper of the Lamb, the union of Christ with His Church. If He then adds an earthly husband to you in His good pleasure, receive him with thanksgiving, but do not let your soul be enslaved to this pursuit.

Therefore, cease from this feverish planning and lay only this before God: that His will be done in you, that you may become a daughter worthy of Him, that your boys may be brought up in His discipline, and that whether single or married, you may live for His glory alone. If you pray thus, you will find peace.

How easy it is to pour out our desires before the Lord, and it is right to do so, with every longing, every detail. But when we lay these things at His feet, the Spirit often turns our own hearts inside out first. The deepest change He wants is not always in someone else’s heart, but in ours. When you truly grasp the love of Christ, that while you were still undeserving and far off, He died for you, it reshapes everything. You stop trying to earn love from another person, because you already possess a love that cannot be shaken, a love from which nothing in heaven or earth can separate you.

That love now becomes your new law. Paul said the love of Christ constrained him. It didn’t push him toward a checklist of rules; it bound him so tightly to Jesus that he only wanted what pleased the Lord. Is that your starting place? Before you pray for a spark in someone else, ask whether Jesus Himself has the supreme affection of your heart. Whatever we love more than God becomes a quiet idol, and that kind of love will always leave us empty. When Christ is first, other longings fall into proper order. You can trust His goodness because He proved it at the cross, He will not hold back what is truly best for you and your boys.

Abide in Him, and the fruit will come. His love, His peace, His patience will steady you far more than any romantic feeling ever could. You won’t need to carry the weight of shaping a man or manufacturing a future. Rest in this: God’s love for you is not fickle. It does not depend on your success or your failures, on a visit happening soon, or on a declaration being spoken out loud. His love held you while you were still a sinner; it will hold you now.

So keep bringing your requests, but do it with hands wide open, anchored in a heart already full. Let His love constrain the way you wait, the way you pray, the way you live. When you know how deeply you are loved, you can leave the outcome with Him, content that His will is better than any plan you could stitch together. May you walk with Jesus this week, captured by His love, and find that His presence is the one thing you cannot live without.
