Beloved of All
It is good that you ask for truth and clarity and guidance, for this desire itself comes from God who wants to lead you. He is the true Light who lights every person who comes into the world, and all truth is found in Christ, for He is the Truth and the Life. When you ask for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart, you ask according to His promise.
God reveals His will not to the proud who trust in their own understanding, but to those who remain humble like little children before Him. Therefore come with a lowly and teachable heart, willing to receive what He shows you even as you ask Him to show it. Pray continually, but also give your own part. We need both grace from God and our own obedience if we are to be saved and guided. Prayer without effort is empty, and effort without prayer cannot succeed. Seek Him in prayer, and also walk in what you already know to be His word.
Take the Scriptures as your lamp. There you have the sum of what you need for life, for forgiveness, for adoption as His child, and for the hope to come. Read them daily, obey what you read, give thanks for His mercies both to you and to others, and ask Him to keep you from envy and pride which darken the heart. In this way charity is strengthened and the heart is made ready to hear Him.
Let us pray for you. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask You to pour out Your grace upon this heart that seeks You. Send Your Holy Spirit to give light, understanding, and true revelation according to Your will. Remove confusion and grant clarity, that Your truth may be known and loved and obeyed. Teach this one to walk humbly before You, to trust not in human wisdom but in Your word, and to do Your will with faith and love. Let Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven. Guide every step, and keep this soul in faith, hope, and love which remain. In Jesus name we ask this, Amen.
