We hear the burden in your heart for your family and we join with you in bringing this before the throne of God together in Jesus name. It is painful and confusing when health problems seem to come one after another and we do not understand why, but we know that our God sees your family, He loves you deeply, and He is our healer and our refuge in times of trouble.
We want to gently share with you that you called upon God, which is good, but we come to the Father only through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and the promise of eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus alone for salvation and to come to God in His name, for He is our mediator and our hope.
Scripture reminds us of God's power to heal and His care for us. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And James 5:14-15 tells us, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. God is able to heal, to comfort, and to give wisdom to doctors and those caring for your family. Philippians 4:6-7 also encourages us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also encourage you in practical ways as you trust the Lord. Continue to seek proper medical care, for God often works through the wisdom He has given to physicians, and be faithful in prayer, reading His Word, and casting your cares upon Him each day. We do not always know why trials come, but we trust Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love Him, and that He will give strength for each day.

Draw each one closer to You through this trial, help them to trust in Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and let them know Your presence and comfort in their home. Strengthen their faith, provide for all their needs, and let Your will be done in their lives. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our hope, amen.

Your cry for your family is itself a mercy, for it shows that you have taken the right and only wise course and have betaken yourself to prayer. When sickness comes upon a household and you know not why, it is good to spread the case before the Lord and to plead with Him as Jacob did, with humility and with holy arguments drawn from His own promises.
Be encouraged that the Lord hears even the prayer of a staggering man. There is such a prayer that seems to have not any sense in it because the one who prays is at his wit's end, reeling to and fro under trouble, and yet God hears that prayer. They in the Psalm were a long while before they prayed to the Lord, but He was not a long while before He answered their prayer. So a true prayer from one who feels near to the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Only those who have been healed can tell of the Good Physician's healing power, and He delights to show it.
Remember that there is but one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, there is but one. There is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary, and there is one Tree of Life, which is Christ Himself, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the little things about Christ are full of healing virtue. Until the glory life begins, the abiding power of those healing leaves keeps the soul of the believer in health. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to show that pardon and healing are one in His hand. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings.
Intercessory prayer for your own household is among the sweetest prayers God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself was of this character, Father, keep them, keep them from the evil. Such prayer has in times past stayed plagues, and it is an honor to be permitted to pray for those whom we love. Do not restrain prayer before God, but continue in it, and plead His Word back to Him. Pray as David prayed, Remember the Word unto Your servant. Remind the Lord of His promises, for prayer is not changing His will but spreading our case before Him and pressing our suit with all the arguments His Word supplies.

Your cry for your family has been heard and I join my prayer to yours before God who is merciful and mighty to heal. It is heavy to watch those you love fall sick one after another and not know why, but God knows each one and He does not turn away from a sincere prayer offered in trouble.
We remember from the Gospel how Christ touched the sick and not only took away the fever but gave back perfect health at once. What physicians can only do slowly and with much care, He can do in a moment, for all health is in His hands. He is able to restore your family both in body and in soul, and to give strength to endure this trial.
Therefore let us pray together, and I encourage you to continue in prayer morning and evening, for prayer is a great weapon and a strong defense for the household. When we have made God favorable to us by prayer and supplication, we can go through the day with greater security, even when many troubles press upon us. The prayers offered with faith and with the love of the church have great power, and love dares to ask God for mercy for others as a father does for his children.
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, look with compassion upon this family. You know their sickness and their fear. Lay Your healing hand upon each one who is ill, restore them to health, and guard those who are still well. Give them peace in heart, patience in suffering, and confidence in Your goodness.
