God to take charge

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray God will once and for all take care of in his way my sociopath, narcissist husband. Nobody can do it but him. God knows Jesus knows. Thank you

We hear your cry and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to take charge in His perfect way and in His perfect timing, for no one else can do what He alone can do.

We know the pain and exhaustion that comes from living with a difficult and hurtful marriage, and we bring both you and your husband before the Lord. We believe marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between a man and a woman for life, as Jesus said, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6. Because of this we pray not only for relief and justice but for redemption and healing according to God's will. We pray that God would work in your husband's heart in a way only He can, to convict, to soften, and to transform. We pray as it is written, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26. Only God can change a hard heart and bring true repentance.

We also understand the desire for God to once and for all take care of this situation, and we gently encourage you to release any burden of vengeance or bitterness into His hands and to trust His justice and mercy. Scripture reminds us, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. We are called to forgive even as we trust God to be the righteous Judge, as it is written, And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, Ephesians 4:32.

We lift you up and ask the Lord to be your refuge and strength. We pray He draws near to you in this sorrow, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. We cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and we ask for His peace which surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.

We pray together in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we place this dear sister and her marriage into Your hands. You see all things, You know the depths of this pain, and nothing is hidden from You. Lord, take charge in Your way. We ask You to convict and transform her husband's heart, to bring him to repentance and to teach him to love his wife as Christ loved the church, with sacrificial love and honor, Ephesians 5:25 and Colossians 3:19. Soften what is hard, heal what is broken, and let Your truth prevail in his life. For our sister, grant her wisdom, protection, strength, and discernment. Surround her with godly counsel, with a pastor and trusted believers who can support and advise her, and if there is any danger or abuse, give her clear direction and safety. Help her to walk in forgiveness while also walking in wisdom, and to keep her eyes on You. Let Your will be done in this marriage, whether that be miraculous restoration and healing or Your clear leading for next steps, and let Your peace rule in her heart. We trust You to act, for You are faithful and just. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and to seek wise, biblical counsel from a pastor or mature Christian counselor who can walk with you closely and know your situation personally. Do not carry this burden alone. Keep trusting that God knows, that Jesus knows, and that He is working even when you cannot see it.

We hear the exhaustion in your words and we are praying with you. When you have lived a long time walking on eggshells and trying to manage someone else's hurtful patterns, it is understandable to cry out for God to take charge in a way only He can.

We don't have a quick answer for how God will work in your husband's heart, but we do know He sees you, He knows the strain this has put on you, and He cares about your safety and well being as well as your marriage.

One gentle step that often helps in a season like this is to not carry it alone. If you have one safe, trusted person, a pastor, a counselor, or a mature friend or family member, consider inviting them to walk with you regularly. Not to fix your husband for you, but to listen, to help you sort what is yours to carry and what is not, and to help you think through healthy boundaries and wise next decisions. If you ever feel unsafe at home, please reach out right away for help from that trusted support and from local resources in your area.

You have done the right thing bringing this to the Lord. He is not distant from this pain.

Father, we lift her to You. You know her husband and You know her hurt. Take charge in Your perfect way, bring Your protection, wisdom and peace into this home, and guide her with clear steps day by day. Give her strength, support around her, and rest for her heart. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your sorrowful cry has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord who sees and knows all things, for nothing is hidden from His eyes.

There is no attribute more comforting to the tried child of God than the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty. Under the most adverse circumstances, in the most severe troubles, we believe that Sovereignty has ordained our afflictions, that Sovereignty overrules them, and that Sovereignty will sanctify them all. Your trials have not escaped His notice, nor have they passed beyond His reign. He who sits upon the throne does all things according to His wise and holy will, and we may learn to recognize and admire His hand even when the way is dark.

Child of God, never forget this, all that you are suffering of any sort or kind comes to you from the Divine hand, yet not as a sign that He has cast you away. There was One upon whom God's wrath pressed very sorely, One who was in truth afflicted with all God's waves, and that One is our brother, a Man like ourselves, the dearest lover of our souls, the Lord Jesus Christ. He bore the heavy wrath that we might know the Father's tender discipline and not His condemnation. There is a righteous anger in God's heart towards guilty impenitent men, but He feels none of that towards His people. He is your Husband still, though earthly comforts fail. As a husband reveals himself in love to his spouse and provides for her and communes with her, so the Lord as a Husband unto His ancient church has set His special love upon His own and will not forsake them.

It is well for us when our prayers about our sorrows are linked with prayers about our sins, when being under God's hand our soul is not wholly taken up with our pain, but we also remember our need of Christ. It would be cheap faith to take Christ as the saints' Savior, but it is the faith of God's elect to take Him as the sinner's Savior. Look to Him, trust Him, hang upon Him. Remember that where God begins to work, He does not ask us to finish. He always completes His own work. Drive out all unbelief and leave your affairs in God's hands, trusting not in yourself but in His mercy and His promise that they who trust Him shall lack no good thing.

We do not ask God to bless sin, nor to affirm what is contrary to His holy law, for marriage is a covenant He ordained and He hates cruelty and oppression and all hardness of heart. To pray that God will take charge in His way is to pray rightly, that He will do justice, show mercy, restrain evil, bring to repentance where there may be repentance, and be your refuge and defense. Vengeance belongs unto the Lord, and you may safely leave your cause with Him who judges righteously. Seek also the help of wise and godly counsel near you, and such lawful protection as Providence affords, that you may be kept safe while you wait upon the Lord. Do not walk alone in this affliction, but let faithful pastors and prudent friends know your burden and bear it with you.

We pray with you now, that the Lord will in His own perfect way take charge of that which you cannot govern, that He will shelter you under His wings, give you wisdom for each step, work repentance and new life where there is hardness, restrain the hand of the oppressor, and sanctify this sore trial to your soul's good. May He teach you from your youth and still teach you, that you may declare His wondrous works, and may you find that to trust Him wholly is to fear no more. May His grace draw near and keep you, and unto the God of all grace be praise forever. Amen.
