Full Time Job

I hear in your request a deep desire for security and direction: a full-time position, the means for a journey and your side work, a plan that all comes together. Those longings are real, but I want to invite you to consider something larger that Scripture keeps bringing to our attention, how we spend the brief span of time we’ve been given.

Life under heaven has a rhythm of seasons and tasks that can feel repetitive. We plant, we harvest, we plan the next step. Yet if we’re not careful, we can pour our effort into bags with holes, always earning but never truly content, always reaching for the next financial goal or move. The deeper question isn’t just whether you’ll land this job, but where your heart is quietly anchored while you wait.

God lives outside the clock that governs us. He sees your whole life at once, the beginning, the end, and every detail in between. Your time on this earth is limited, like a watch in the night. That’s not meant to discourage you; it’s meant to sharpen your focus. The wisdom we need is found in praying, “Teach me to number my days, that I may gain a heart of wisdom.” The most important way to use your time is to invest it in what lasts: knowing Christ, walking with Him, letting His priorities rearrange yours.

Ask yourself honestly: how much time am I spending with the Lord compared to the time I spend mapping out my plans? Could this waiting period be His way of gently refocusing your heart? Sometimes we get so fixed on a destination or a paycheck that God allows a delay simply to lift our eyes back to the eternal. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will not cease, His provision is sure, but the satisfaction that truly holds is found in Him, not in a job offer.

So bring your request to Jesus freely. He cares about your work and your needs. But as you pray, lay down the anxiety about making everything fit together on your own timetable. Redeem the time. Don’t let the pursuit of a full-time position and a comfortable migration crowd out the Kingdom that endures forever. I’ll be praying that you find your security not in a perfect plan falling into place, but in the One who already holds every season and every provision in His hands.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer as you sought God’s provision for a full-time position. It was our privilege to lift your request before the Lord, asking Him to open the doors you need for stability, purpose, and the resources to pursue the plans He has for you—including the opportunity to support your work and bless your future endeavors.

If God has answered this prayer in ways you can see—whether through the job itself, unexpected provision, or clarity in your next steps—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if circumstances feel uncertain, we encourage you to post this request again. We remain committed to praying alongside you, believing that the Lord is working even when we cannot see it.

May He continue to guide your steps, strengthen your faith, and provide for every need according to His perfect will. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
