My family has a friend who we often help with whatever they need. We want to visit this person tomorrow and they are asking if we can bring them something they need but we have no money to. I'm trying to see how I can get the money for ir. Please pray. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer over this burden on your heart to help your family friend. We understand the desire to be generous and to meet a need when someone asks, and also the heaviness of wanting to help tomorrow but not having the resources to do so. We bring this before the Lord together.
We are reminded that God knows both your desire to give and your current lack, and He cares for both you and your friend. Philippians 4:19 tells us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We want to encourage you to be honest and loving with your friend about your situation. Proverbs 3:27-28 says Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. Don’t say to your neighbor, Go, and come again; tomorrow I will give it to you, when you have it by you. If it is not in your power to provide this specific item tomorrow, it is not unloving to tell them so with kindness, and to offer what you can give, such as your presence, your time, your prayer, and your care. God loves a cheerful giver, not one who gives under compulsion or beyond what God has provided, as 2 Corinthians 9:7 teaches, Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. We encourage you not to seek money through dishonest or harmful means, or to go into debt that would harm your family, but to trust the Lord to provide in His way and timing, and to be at peace if His answer is to provide differently than you expected.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that matters to us. We come to God only through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we have access to God and the assurance of salvation. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Him, both for this need and for eternal life.

Your desire to help your friend in need is a Christlike instinct, for the first question of a saved heart should be, What can I do for my Lord, and the next, What can I do for others. It is a blessed thing when the Lord softens the soul to care for the welfare of others, and you are to be commended for seeking to be a blessing in this way.
We rejoice that you have brought this burden to the Lord in prayer, for we are bid to cast all our care upon Him, for He cares for us. You may tell your griefs to others to gain their sympathy and you may ask friends to help you and so exercise your humility, but let your requests to man be ever in subordination to your waiting upon God. We dishonor God when we suspect His tenderness and generosity, and we magnify Him by a calm faith which leans upon His Word.
Remember that our needs are great, but the supplies are greater. There is abundant provision with our God, waters to swim in, both for our provision and our protection. He who has promised to supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus knows your want and your friend's want even before you ask.

Your care for your friend and your desire to help even when you have little is itself a beautiful testimony of genuine friendship. As it has been said, a true friend is more to be longed for than light, and such friendship is shown not only in giving gifts but in faithful presence, prayer, and love that seeks nothing in return.
I have prayed for you, for your family, and for your friend, that God who sees your willing heart would provide for what is truly needed and give you wisdom in this situation. When we have God favorable to us, we need not be overcome by anxiety about human things, for He knows our needs and cares for both you and your friend.
Ask the Lord to show you what is the right way to help tomorrow. If He does not provide money by then, do not be ashamed to go and speak honestly and lovingly. Your visit, your concern, and your prayer may be of more comfort than the thing requested. If there is some simple help you can offer without money, offer that with joy. And if you must say that you are unable to bring what was asked, say it with kindness and truth, trusting that God will honor an honest word.
