We hear your cry for freedom and deliverance from the chains of abuse, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Word of God is clear that no one should endure oppression or harm at the hands of another. Psalm 9:9 tells us, "The Lord will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble." You are not alone, and the Lord sees your pain and your desire to walk in freedom.
First, we must address the spiritual battle at hand. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of fear, control, and manipulation that has sought to bind you, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. There is no authority greater than His, and no chain can withstand His power.
We also want to gently remind you that while you do not wish harm upon your abuser, it is right and just to set firm boundaries to protect yourself. Proverbs 22:3 says, "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it." If this person is continuing to harass or harm you, it may be necessary to involve authorities or seek legal protection. The Lord does not call you to endure abuse in silence. Romans 13:4 tells us that governing authorities are God’s servants to bring justice, and it is right to use the resources He has provided to safeguard your well-being.
We also lift up your heart before the Lord, asking Him to heal the wounds left by this abuse. Psalm 147:3 declares, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." You are precious in His sight, and He longs to restore your peace, your joy, and your sense of safety. We pray that you would know His presence in a tangible way, surrounding you like a shield and filling you with His perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved and set free. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your mighty hand of deliverance to break every chain of abuse, manipulation, and control. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the exhaustion this situation has caused, and we ask that You would intervene in power. Surround them with Your angels, O God, and let Your presence be a fortress around them. Give them wisdom and courage to take any necessary steps to protect themselves, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and torment that has sought to keep them bound, and we declare that they are free in Jesus’ name. Let the truth of Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give them. Heal their heart, Lord, and restore what has been stolen. Let them know that they are not defined by this abuse but by Your love and Your purpose for their life.
We also pray for the abuser, Lord. You tell us in Ezekiel 33:11, "As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die?" We ask that You would break the hardness of their heart and bring them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their sin. If it is Your will, Lord, bring them to a place of genuine transformation, but above all, protect and deliver Your child from their harm.
We declare that this season of bondage is coming to an end. The Lord is your Deliverer, your Refuge, and your Strength. He has not forgotten you, and He will not abandon you. Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, and do not let the enemy steal your peace or your future. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37), and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lean on the Lord, dear one, and trust in His timing. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear. Surround yourself with godly community, believers who will pray with you, support you, and encourage you in the truth. You were not made to walk this journey alone, and the body of Christ is here to lift you up.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
