Please lift a special someone (hidden for privacy reasons) to the throne of God in the name of Jesus.
This person is said to be a born-again Christian, but he distanced himself from God due to fornication and therefore married an adulterous woman.
Let us pray in Jesus name that this person accepts God's will regarding their broken relationship, and understands that, as a Christian, they cannot be unequally yoked, but must marry someone who is also a Christian.

Let's pray based on these verses:
Hosea 2:19-23
[19] “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
[20] I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.
[21] “It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer,” says the Lord; “I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.
[22] The earth shall answer With grain, With new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel.
[23] Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’”

Please continue to pray in Jesus' name that this brother drives the adulterous and godless woman out of his house/flat. Do not persecute those who pray for him and encourage him to follow God. To God be the glory who is Holy forever.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother in Christ who has strayed from the path of righteousness. The scriptures are clear that as believers, we are called to holiness and purity, and sexual immorality, whether fornication or adultery, grieves the heart of God. The Word declares, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). This brother must understand that his actions have consequences, not only for his own soul but for the testimony of Christ in his life.

The marriage he has entered into is not in alignment with God’s design, for Scripture warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This union is built on a foundation of sin, and it cannot stand unless repentance and restoration to God’s will take place. We must pray fervently that this brother’s eyes are opened to the truth, that he cannot serve two masters. Either he will cling to the ways of the world or he will surrender fully to Christ. There is no middle ground.

The passage from Hosea you shared is a beautiful picture of God’s redemptive love, but it also serves as a warning. Just as Hosea was called to pursue his unfaithful wife, God pursues His people even in their rebellion. Yet, restoration requires repentance. We must pray that this brother humbles himself before the Lord, confesses his sin, and turns away from this adulterous relationship. The Word says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9). But forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin, it is a call to walk in newness of life.

We also lift up those who are praying for this brother, that they would not grow weary in intercession. The enemy will seek to discourage and divide, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name. "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58). We must not shrink back from speaking truth in love, even when it is difficult. This brother needs godly counsel, accountability, and the support of the body of Christ to walk in obedience.

Let us pray now with boldness and compassion:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken over the sin that has entangled this brother in Christ. Lord, we know that You are faithful to forgive and restore, but we also know that true repentance requires a turning away from sin. We ask that You would convict his heart deeply, that he would see the gravity of his actions and the danger of continuing in this adulterous relationship. Break the chains of deception, Father, and reveal to him the path of righteousness.

We pray that You would give him the strength to drive out this ungodly influence from his home, as Your Word commands us to separate ourselves from darkness. Surround him with believers who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds that led him to this place of compromise. Restore his relationship with You, renew his mind, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in purity and holiness.

We also pray for the woman involved, that she, too, would come to know You as her Savior and turn from her sin. If it is Your will, Father, bring repentance and restoration to both of their lives, but not at the expense of Your truth. May Your name be glorified in every outcome.

We stand on the promise of Your Word, that "if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." (1 John 5:14). We trust in Your perfect plan, Lord, and we ask that You would work mightily in this situation for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

To this brother, we say: Do not harden your heart. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Return to Him with all your heart, and He will receive you. The path of obedience may be difficult, but it is the only path that leads to true peace and joy. You were bought with a price, live as one who belongs to Christ. The body of Christ is here to support you, but you must take the first step toward repentance. The time is now.

It is heavy to watch someone you care about drift from faith and make choices that leave him more distant from God. Your love for him comes through clearly in the way you keep interceding for unwavering faith and for him to seek God's will above all else. We will stand with you in that.

Restoration is rarely a single moment. It is usually a process that takes time, honesty before God, and steady support from other believers who can walk alongside with both grace and accountability. If you have opportunity to encourage him personally, one of the most helpful things can be gently pointing him toward a trusted pastor or mature Christian he respects, someone who can listen to his full story and counsel him face to face about next steps for his home and relationships.

We are also praying for you as you carry this, that God will give you patience, wisdom and peace as you keep praying without growing weary.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this brother to you. Draw him back to yourself, renew his faith and give him a clear mind and willing heart to follow your will. Surround him with wise, faithful counsel and give him courage to hear it. We ask for your care and mercy over everyone in his household, and for your guidance to lead each one toward healing and truth. Strengthen the one who is praying with steady hope in your holy plan. Your burden has been laid before the throne of grace and we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

We do not ask the Lord to bless what His Word calls sin, for fornication and adultery are evil in His sight, committed before the eyes of Him against whom alone we sin. Sex and living together belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and to depart from this is to depart from God. Yet we rejoice that repentance and remission of sins are preached in His name among all nations, and that Christ is exalted on high to give both.

What is needed is not a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, nor a trembling that passes away, but that true repentance which is the work of the Holy Spirit and which gives God glory. True repentance yields works meet for repentance, it is practical and it lasts, it makes us weep and abhor our past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us. It looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Such repentance is the gift of God, and when it is sought of the Lord it is never denied. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness through His finished work. A broken spirit and a contrite heart He will not despise, though for adultery there was no sacrifice appointed under the Law.

We pray then for this brother, that if he has professed faith and has been carried away by sudden temptation, he may know the restoration that Peter knew. Peter fell, but he was soon up again, for the look of Christ melted his heart and brought a bitter, salutary, saving repentance without which none can be restored. May the Lord grant such a look, that faith which remains though sorely tried may dissolve in tears that make a rainbow of grief for sin and hope in Christ. Repentance lives as long as faith, and sweet sister Repentance is needful still. May he prove that his repentance is unto life.

You have well cited the word of the Lord by Hosea, I will betroth thee unto me forever in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in mercy, in faithfulness, and thou shalt know the Lord. This is the betrothal which alone can satisfy the soul, and it is wrought in righteousness, not in uncleanness. We pray that this brother may be so betrothed to Christ that he will accept the will of God concerning every earthly relationship and will no longer be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. The yoke of Christ is easy when we bow to His precept, but to reject it is to bear at last the iron yoke of remorse, which is dreadful to endure. May he choose the easy yoke of repentance now rather than the hard yoke of sorrow afterward, as David did who went halting to his grave under the entail of his sin.

Concerning his house, we pray not in a spirit of persecution or harsh driving, for the Lord does not drive men to repentance as Cain was driven, but His goodness leads to repentance and draws with cords of love. We pray that sin may be put away from that dwelling, that what is unholy may be forsaken, that fornication may cease and that the covenant of marriage may be honoured as God ordained. If he is living with one who is not his wife, may he be led to holiness, either to depart from fornication or to enter into honourable marriage only as in the Lord. If he is already bound in marriage, may he seek the Lord for wisdom to walk in faithfulness and truth within that covenant, labouring and praying for the salvation of the one who is yet without Christ, while refusing all fellowship with uncleanness. We pray also for the woman of whom you speak, that she who has not obtained mercy may obtain mercy, that to those who were not His people He may say, Thou art my people, and they shall say, Thou art my God.

May the Lord grant to this brother unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in the Father's holy plan for his life, that his faith and his repentance may be inseparable, the one purging dead works and the other filling the soul with living works, the one pulling down and the other building up, till he is perfectly restored and established to the glory of God who is holy forever. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing this brother before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray first for his restoration to God. Scripture shows that fornication and adultery are not light matters, for they defile the soul and are sins committed above all against God Himself, even when they are hidden from people. We also remember that pride can destroy the soul even more deeply, so we ask God to keep this brother from acting out of pride, anger, or a desire to appear right before others, and to lead him instead into humble and true repentance. True repentance is not only tears or words, but a turning of the heart that is shown by a changed life.

We pray that God, who promises to betroth His people to Himself in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy and in faithfulness, would draw this brother back to know the Lord again, to taste His forgiveness and mercy, and to stand firm in unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in the Father's holy plan for his life. As you quoted from Hosea, God shows mercy to those who had not obtained mercy and calls those who were not His people to become His people. That mercy is offered through Christ alone, and we ask that this brother would receive it fully and walk in it.

Concerning his marriage, we hold to what Scripture teaches, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union belongs within that covenant. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless fornication or adultery, nor can we ask Him to bless a relationship that is outside His design. At the same time, Scripture teaches that if a man is already bound in marriage, his vow before God is serious. The Lord Jesus taught that dismissal of a wife is permitted only for sexual immorality, and even then it is not commanded as a hasty or harsh act. The apostle also teaches that if a believer is married to one who does not believe, and that person is willing to live with him, he should not send her away, but should seek the salvation of his household and live in a way that honors God.

Therefore we do not pray with a spirit of persecution or with a desire to simply drive anyone out of a home. We pray instead that God would give this brother wisdom, clear counsel from faithful pastors, and a heart to seek God's will above his own. If there has been sexual sin, we pray that it would be brought into the light, confessed, and forsaken. We pray for the woman as well, that God would have mercy on her, open her eyes to the truth of the gospel, and bring her also to repentance and faith in Christ, for God desires all to be saved. We pray that any decision about living together or separating would be made not from human pressure but from obedience to Scripture, with counsel, prayer, and love.

We also pray for you and for all who are praying for him, that you would continue in love and not in harshness, encouraging him to follow God with patience and truth.

We lift this prayer together: Father, in the name of Jesus, restore this brother to Yourself. Forgive his sins, cleanse his heart, renew him by Your Holy Spirit, and strengthen his faith so that he will not waver. Teach him Your will for marriage and for purity, and give him courage to obey You even when it is difficult. Lead him away from every form of sexual sin and from pride, and guide him into righteousness, justice, and mercy. Give wisdom to those who counsel him, and bring glory to Your holy name in his life.
