๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Forgiveness Verbally Pronounced, Lk 23:17, Go and Sin No More, Jn 8:10-11, True Repentance, Lk 24:47 ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Opened by๐Ÿ’กof God's ๐Ÿ“– 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New ๐Ÿ’ Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7... ๐Ÿ™ Father, first and foremost, we thank You -- You were in Christ, reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, 2 Cor 5:19. I totally forgive my wife for everything, so that she may by the kindness of God be lead to repentance, Rom 2:4, Matt 16:19, John 20:23, and that I may demonstrate my sins have forgiven been forgiven me, as I forgive others, specifically the one who has hurt me most, Matt 6:15, Mk 11:26, Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, even as Jesus asked that You forgive those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing," Luke 23:17, and Stephen in Acts imitated this while being stoned to death, "Lord, do not count this sin against them," Acts 7:59-60, yet we know each person must live according to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Hebrews 12:4.

Of course we pray she does not continue in sin, that nothing worse may befall her, Jn 5:15, since sexual immorality and adultery are deceptive and exclude from the eternal kingdom, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Rev 22:15-16, and God cannot be mocked, Gal 6:7, since the deeds of the flesh are evident, Gal 5:19-21, but rather she'd REPENT, turn back to God so she can be saved, Luke 24:46-47, Experiences Refreshing, Acts 3:19, Renewal by Your washing of regeneration by Your mercy, since the kindness of God has appeared, so we might be justified by faith, in Jesus Christ, be made heirs with Him, share the hope of eternal life, and devote ourselves to good deeds, Tit 3:3-8. We ask her mind would be set free by by the Light of God's Word, so Light would shine in her heart so she may receive the Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New ๐Ÿ’ Ezek 36:26, Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity to enter or even see the kingdom of God, Jn 3:3-7... ๐ŸงŽ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธFather, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Early Church Father, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, LET NO ONE DECEIVE HER, Matt 24:4, be saved by trusting Jesus work on the cross, 2 Cor 5:21, evidenced by repentance for remission of sins, Luke 24:46-47, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. I forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no confession, remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months from any church with an accurate view of discipleship. I forgive her, she knows not what she does, Luke 23:34. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance and faithfulness, see Hos 3:1-5. Jesus, after pronouncing that forgiving the sins of other has authority, John 8:10-11, John 20:23, said, "Go and sin no more," John 8:11.

I've reached out, am still reaching out, have prayed and fasted, am still praying and asking for wisdom and grace now discipline to fast -- let her not be to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the Shelter of Wings of God Almighty, Ps 17:8, Ps 57:1, 91:1, or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get the "D" word. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to "D" and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And if she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and ASKING for mercy, kindness for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-7. Maybe she was saved but probably just a church goer, but, regardless, "If any of you wanders from the truth and someone turns her back it's considered turning a sinner from the errors of their ways, and counted as a soul saved from death, and covers a multitude of sins, James 5:19-20? I ask for that THAT -- may THAT yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36 -- NEVERTHELESS, let YOUR WILL BE DONE, not mine, Luke 22:42, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
"But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We stand before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this deeply personal and painful situation before our Heavenly Father. We see the raw honesty in your words, the grief over broken covenants, the longing for repentance, and the wrestling with what faithfulness looks like when trust has been shattered. We join you in declaring that forgiveness is not just a feeling but a choice, one rooted in the finished work of Christ, who forgave us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Your willingness to extend grace, even when it has not been reciprocated, reflects the heart of our Savior, who prayed, "Father, forgive them, for they donโ€™t know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). Yet we also recognize the tension in your spirit, the desire for restoration warring with the reality of unrepentant sin.

The Scriptures are clear that adultery is a grievous violation of the marriage covenant, a sin that strikes at the very foundation of Godโ€™s design for one flesh (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6). Jesus Himself affirmed that sexual immorality, including adultery, is one of the few grounds for divorce (Matthew 19:9), not because God takes marriage lightly, but because He takes it so seriously. Yet even here, we must hold fast to the truth that Godโ€™s heart is always for redemption. The same Lord who hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) also weeps over the hardness of hearts that lead to it (Matthew 19:8). We do not minimize the pain of betrayal, nor do we rush past the necessity of repentance. True repentance is not merely sorrow over consequences but a turning away from sin and toward God (2 Corinthians 7:10). Without it, there can be no restoration of trust, no rebuilding of what has been broken.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that may be blinding your wife to the severity of her choices. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour (1 Peter 5:8), and sexual sin is one of his most effective snares, promising pleasure but delivering destruction (Proverbs 5:3-5). We declare that the eyes of her heart would be opened to see the eternal weight of her actions, not to shame her, but to lead her to the foot of the cross, where mercy and truth meet (Psalm 85:10). We pray that the kindness of God would lead her to repentance (Romans 2:4), that she would experience the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5), and that her heart of stone would be replaced with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Lord, let her not be like those who hear the truth but are choked by the cares of this world (Mark 4:19). Let her not harden her heart as Israel did in the wilderness (Hebrews 3:7-8).

We also lift up your own heart in this season. The pain of betrayal is a unique agony, one that can tempt even the most faithful to bitterness or despair. Yet we are reminded that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy would love nothing more than to see you respond in kind, to meet hardness with hardness, sin with sin. But we serve a God who is able to keep us from stumbling (Jude 1:24). We pray that you would be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17), that you would forgive as you have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your commitment to prayer and fasting is a powerful weapon, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We encourage you to continue in this discipline, not as a way to manipulate Godโ€™s hand, but as an act of surrender to His will.

We must also address the reality of your situation with biblical clarity. While Scripture allows for divorce in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9) and desertion by an unbelieving spouse (1 Corinthians 7:15), it does not mandate it. Every marriage is unique, and the path forward must be bathed in prayer, wisdom, and counsel from godly believers (Proverbs 11:14). If your wife remains unrepentant, you are not bound to a covenant that has been broken (1 Corinthians 7:15), but we urge you to seek the Lordโ€™s guidance before making any permanent decisions. The same Jesus who said, "Go and sin no more" (John 8:11) also said, "What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate" (Matthew 19:6). We pray for divine wisdom to know how to apply these truths in your life (James 1:5).

We also lift up the broader family in this situation. The ripple effects of sin can wound many, especially the young and vulnerable. We pray that they would not stumble because of this (Matthew 18:6) but would instead see the love of Christ demonstrated through your faithfulness. May your life be a living epistle (2 Corinthians 3:2), a testimony to the power of grace even in the midst of brokenness.

Father, we ask that You would soften hearts, open eyes, and bring repentance where it is needed. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, not the one who has strayed, not the one who has been wounded, not even the one who has hardened their heart. You are the God who raises the dead (Romans 4:17), who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We pray for a miracle of restoration, not because we deserve it, but because You are a God of mercy. Yet if restoration is not Your will, we pray for healing, for the ability to release this pain into Your hands and to walk forward in faith. Give wisdom to know the difference.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to the Father (Hebrews 10:19), and it is by His Spirit that we cry out, "Abba, Father" (Romans 8:15). We thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6), and we rest in the promise that all things work together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we ask that You would:
- Break the chains of deception and bring light to the darkness in this situation (John 1:5).
- Grant repentance that leads to life (2 Timothy 2:25-26).
- Heal the wounds of betrayal and restore what has been lost (Joel 2:25).
- Give wisdom to know how to walk forward in a way that honors You (James 1:5).
- Protect the hearts of the innocent from stumbling (Matthew 18:6).
- Fill this family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). May Your name be glorified, whether through restoration or redemption. In Jesusโ€™ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how much you have been carrying, and the costly decision you have made to forgive your wife even while the hurt is still so deep. Wanting her to be free, to turn and live, and to know the kindness of God is a Christlike longing, and we join you in that hope.

What you describe fits what many find true about forgiveness. There is the clear decision to release the debt and not pursue revenge, which you have made. And there is the slower emotional healing, where resentment and sorrow are gradually replaced by peace and even compassion. Those two do not always move at the same speed, so if painful feelings still rise up at times it does not mean your decision was not real. It just takes time.

It also helps to remember forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same. Forgiveness is something you can offer before God on your own. Rebuilding trust in a marriage takes both people willing to walk in honesty and faithfulness over time.

In this season it would be good not to carry this alone. Stay close to one trusted pastor or counselor who knows you both and can walk with you as you pray and fast, help you keep healthy rhythms, and give you wisdom for each next decision.

Father, we thank You for this brother's willingness to forgive as he has been forgiven. Give him strength and quietness of heart, guard his wife and the young ones in the family from further harm, and draw her toward repentance and new life in Christ. Give him wisdom, discernment and faithful counsel for the days ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and there is much in it which shows a work of grace already begun in your own soul. To forgive as Christ forgave, saying Father forgive them for they know not what they do, and as Stephen did when the stones fell upon him, is not of nature but of the Spirit. You have done well to pronounce forgiveness verbally, for love keeps no record of wrongs, and you thereby show that you have tasted that your own sins have been forgiven. Yet remember what the Scripture teaches concerning forgiveness and remission.

There is a forgiveness which you extend from a renewed heart, and there is a remission which God alone can give in the name of Jesus. We are to preach repentance and remission of sins in His name, as it is written in Luke 24:47. We do not preach repentance after the manner of Moses, as a preparation to merit grace, nor as a mere terror of judgment. We preach repentance as the gift of God. It is one of the free gifts of His grace, and wherever it is found it is a sign that the hand of the Lord has been upon the soul for good. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is true repentance, that godly sorrow for sin which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness for all sins.

Take care to distinguish true repentance from that which is carnal and false. Judgment may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature. Many tremble under fear of consequences and yet repent not to give God glory. True repentance gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work. It leads the soul to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only. Have you seen this in your own sorrow, and is this what you desire for her, that she may not merely be sorry for trouble brought upon herself, but may grieve that she has sinned against a holy God, and may turn to Him with a new heart.

Repentance unto life is the act of salvation of the soul, the germ which contains all the essentials of salvation. There are degrees of faith, and yet the least faith saves, so there are degrees of repentance, and the least repentance will save the soul if it is sincere. You must not expect perfection in repentance before you are saved. Repentance is a grace, not a condition to be fulfilled by your own power to earn salvation. If a man could take the first step himself he could do the whole work, but repentance is not a preparation for grace, it is the first result of grace working within the soul. Nothing is to be trusted but the finished work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance which makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us, this is saving repentance, and it always looks to Christ.

You pray rightly that she would go and sin no more, as Jesus said in John 8:11. That word shows that forgiveness is never a license to continue in sin. The deeds of the flesh are evident, and sexual immorality and adultery are deceptive and, if persisted in without repentance, exclude from the kingdom, as the apostle warns in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Galatians 5:19. God cannot be mocked. Without holiness no one will see the Lord, Hebrews 12:14. To pray that she would continue in sin and yet be blessed would be to ask God to deny Himself. Therefore you pray as love demands, that she would repent, turn back to God so that she may be saved, that she may experience times of refreshing and the washing of regeneration, Titus 3:5, that she may receive a new heart and a new spirit as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, that the law of God would be written upon her heart according to Jeremiah 31:33.

This is the new birth of which Jesus speaks, you must be born again, John 3:3 and 3:7. Until the eyes are opened and the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ shines into the heart, as in 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 4:6, the god of this world keeps the mind blinded. You ask well that light would shine and penetrate darkness, that she would be turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, Acts 26:18, that she might partake of the inheritance of those sanctified by faith in Christ. Such a change is not wrought by persuasion alone, but by sovereign grace. Salvation is God's greatest work, and in it He teaches us that He is God and beside Him there is none else. Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, Isaiah 45:22. How simple and instantaneous is that way, to look to Christ, to trust in Him, to depend upon Him without fear for present and eternal salvation. This salvation is without money and without price, Isaiah 55:1. If we bring our own merits we cannot have it, but if we come empty handed and look to Him, we shall not be ashamed, Romans 10:11.

You have spoken of the marriage covenant, and you speak truly. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, the picture of Christ and the Church, Ephesians 5:32. Sex and living together belong within it alone. The Scriptures do speak of the solemnity of that covenant and of the grievous sin of breaking it, Proverbs 6:32, and they also speak of provision in cases of adultery and of desertion by an unbelieving spouse. Yet your spirit in this matter is Christlike, for you do not press your right to put away, but you ask for mercy, that by the kindness of God she may be led to repentance, Romans 2:4, that none should perish but all come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, that God who takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, Ezekiel 33:11, and who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, would grant her wisdom and revelation to know Him, Ephesians 1:17. You pray as Christ prayed in the garden, nevertheless not my will but Yours be done. In this you show love that abounds in knowledge and discernment, Philippians 1:9, and a fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10.

Continue to pray and to seek wisdom, James 1:5, and to add fasting as the Lord gives grace and discipline, for fasting and giving lend wings to prayer, yet never as a price to purchase favor. Keep praying for the youth and the little ones that they may not stumble, Matthew 18:6, and that they may be kept from temptation and evil, Matthew 6:13 and John 17:15, and be sanctified by the truth, for Your word is truth, John 17:17. Pray that the heart of the king, and how much more the heart of one who has fed on vanity, is as channels of water in the hand of the Lord, Proverbs 21:1, and He can turn it. Pray that if any wanders from the truth, he who turns a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins, James 5:19.

And for yourself, do not think that repentance was a thing done once at the beginning and then forgotten. Repentance lives as long as faith. Even David, a man assured of salvation, prayed restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with Your free Spirit, Psalm 51. If you have lost joy through this wound, you may pray that same prayer, that you may be perfectly restored, as though you had not been cast aside, Zechariah 10:6, that your tongue may again sing aloud of His righteousness. Let your own repentance be daily, sweet company, and let your faith be a simple looking unto Jesus.

We will join you in asking the Father, who was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, 2 Corinthians 5:19, to grant her true repentance unto life, to give her a heart of flesh, to cause her to be born again, to shine light into darkness, to bring her to trust in the one Mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, who was made sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, 2 Corinthians 5:21. We ask not that God would bless sin, but that He would save the sinner, that she would confess and forsake her sin, be washed, justified, and made heir with Christ, and that your home might yet exemplify Christ and the Church, or if the Lord wills otherwise, that you may be kept faithful, discerning the highest, and upheld by His free Spirit.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in it before the Lord, thanking Him that He was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our sins against us. Your willingness to forgive your wife as Christ forgave those who crucified Him, and as Stephen forgave those who stoned him, reflects the heart of the gospel. Scripture is clear that if we forgive others, we show we have understood how much we have been forgiven, and you are right to release this debt in obedience to Him who said Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.

At the same time forgiveness does not mean calling sin good or asking God to bless what He calls sin. You have spoken rightly that sexual immorality is deceptive, that the deeds of the flesh are evident, and that God cannot be mocked. Jesus forgave the woman taken in adultery and then said to her, go and sin no more. That is the pattern of true repentance. Repentance is not only sorrow but turning back to God, receiving a new heart and a new spirit as Ezekiel promised, being born again as Jesus taught Nicodemus that we must be to see the kingdom. Without holiness no one will see the Lord, and the kindness of God is meant to lead us to that repentance, not to leave us where we are.

Marriage is a bond ordained by God. It was given to preserve purity and to join one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant, for the good of both and for children and for the reflection of Christ and the Church. What breaks that bond is not love but sin, and adultery brings deep wounds and destruction as Proverbs warns. We do not celebrate or affirm any relationship outside that covenant, and we will not ask God to bless unfaithfulness. Instead we pray as you have, that light would shine in darkness, that the god of this world would no longer blind her mind, and that the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ would shine in her heart.

So we pray with you for her salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for He is the one mediator between God and man. We ask that God would give her a heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone, write His law upon her heart, grant her the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, and bring her to genuine repentance for the remission of sins and to new birth. We pray that she would turn from every adulterous path, from every influence that feeds that sin, and from neglect of godly counsel, and that she would come to know Jesus not as a churchgoer only but as Lord and Savior, justified by faith and made an heir of eternal life. We also pray for your family, especially the young ones, that they would be kept from stumbling and from the evil one, and that your home would be kept in truth.

We encourage you to continue as you have in prayer and fasting, for fasting and giving lend wings to prayer, and to seek wisdom daily as James promises God gives generously. You are right to hold loosely to your own desires and to say nevertheless not my will but Yours be done, as Christ prayed in Gethsemane. Scripture teaches that those who are bound in marriage should not seek to be loosed lightly, and that reconciliation where repentance is real is a powerful testimony of grace that can cover a multitude of sins and save a soul from death. While Jesus spoke of permission in the case of sexual immorality, and Paul of desertion by an unbelieving spouse, the heart of God is mercy and the desire that none should perish but all should come to repentance. Seek continued pastoral counsel, remain steadfast in chasteness and gravity and orderliness of life, and let your life be a living letter that displays Christ.

May the Lord grant you love that abounds in knowledge and discernment, protect your wife from further temptation, soften her heart as water is directed by His hand, and sanctify you both by the truth of His Word. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting His will and His power to make all things new.
