I am asking for prayer requests for me to find a husband. Someone who together we can grow our relationship with God. I am a single mother of 2 wonderful daughters. I have been divorced for ### years. I need someone to show my daughters what a real man can do. I am tired of being lonely all the time and raising my daughters on my own. Please pray for me.

Father,

Please have mercy on my sister while she waits for a mate. Abba, I am asking that you help her to realize that you love her and care about this desire of her heart. Father, I ask that any cliches about this that well-meaning saints have told her she will not take them to heart (God is your husband, all you need is him, etc). Father, while it is true that all we need is you, it is not wrong to desire a mate.

Abba in the meantime I ask that she will delight herself in you. Lord please remove any distorted perceptions she may have of you that are hindering her relationship with you (God wants you all to himself, God doesn't want you to be with a man, etc). Father, you love her. Your jealousy is NOT human jealousy. Many have misquoted you here. Many believe that it can be translated into the word zealous. You have a burning zeal for my sister. You long to give her the desires of her heart. You love her.

Abba I ask that you help her to work on anything that she needs to do to prepare her for this mate. Abba, comfort her during her wait and send encouragement. In Jesus name amen

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
