Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in sharing the good news of salvation and we thank you for pointing those who are seeking to the truth of God's Word. We agree that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone and that we must confess Him as Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead.

The Scripture you shared is the very heart of the gospel, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10. We also remember for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6.

We love your encouragement to confess and turn from sins, for God calls us to repentance. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. True faith is shown as we follow and obey Him, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. And we show our love for Him by keeping His commandments.

Your advice to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, starting in the book of John, is wise counsel. In John we so clearly see the love of God, that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. There those who are seeking will meet Jesus, His life, His death, and His resurrection.

We pray together for all who are looking for salvation even now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We pray for every heart that is seeking, that is hungry and searching for truth, that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and give them faith to believe with their heart and to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Forgive their sins and cleanse them, fill them with Your Holy Spirit and lead them to walk in obedience to You. Guide them as they open Your Word, especially in the Gospel of John, and reveal Jesus to them that they may know You and have eternal life. Help them to continue in Your Word and to follow You all their days. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We appreciate your heart to point others clearly to Jesus and to His saving work. It encourages us to see someone wanting others to know not just about salvation, but to actually meet the Savior Himself.

What you shared about confessing Him as Lord, believing God raised Him from the dead, and turning from sin captures so much of what salvation is. It is not just a moment of agreement, but God offering wholeness and a new life. When His love is received through faith it begins to permeate daily existence, bringing forgiveness for the past, peace with God for the present, and hope for what is to come. We are not perfected overnight, but we are forgiven and set free to walk with Him and grow in grace over time.

For anyone reading your note who is seeking, a steady next step is just what you suggested, staying in the Gospels. Starting in John is a good place to see who Jesus is, what He has done, and what it means to follow Him. It also helps to bring questions and prayers into conversation with a trusted pastor or mature believer in a Bible believing church, so you are not seeking alone.

Father, thank You for Your mercy and for the gift of salvation through Jesus. We ask You to draw each seeking heart to Yourself, give clarity and honest faith, and lead them into fellowship where they can be taught and encouraged. Help them continue seeking You and obeying You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a cause for rejoicing to hear the precious gospel set forth so plainly, for there is no other way of salvation but by Jesus Christ alone. The scripture you have quoted is the very heart of that good news, that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we must not put asunder, as God hath joined them together. Faith cometh first, and confession followeth. With the heart we trust the Lord Jesus Christ, we rest upon him crucified and risen, not upon our own faith, nor our repentance, nor our prayers, nor our works, but upon him who is all our salvation. That private and personal resting upon Christ for righteousness must then become our public and emphatic avowal before others. The same Christ who is the ground of our confidence in secret becomes the subject of our confession with the mouth. I do not doubt that he who truly believeth with the heart is saved, yet the blessing of salvation is constantly connected with these two together, believing and confessing, and we must keep them together.

And this faith, if it be sincere, will not be a dead faith. True faith begats a holy fear of God and bringeth forth the gracious fruit of obedience. To believe on the Lord Jesus is to look from self to Jesus in an instant, and to turn from sin unto him. As you have rightly said, we must confess and turn from our sins, for we never knew what holiness was till we believed in Jesus. The faith which accepts one word of God and rejects another is not faith in God, but faith in our own judgment. Sincere faith treats all his Word alike, and moved by grace it leads a man to do as the Lord hath commanded, to follow and obey Christ all the days of his life.

This is the simple way, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. It is looking unto him, depending upon him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. The weakest faith in Jesus, though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, if it begins and ends with Jesus, is true faith and is like precious faith, for it lays hold upon a precious Christ.

We join with you in prayer for all who are now seeking the Saviour, that the Holy Spirit would work in them that simple and childlike faith which resteth wholly upon Jesus and his finished work, and that he would give them grace to confess his name openly. We pray that they may be led to turn from sin, to take up the cross and follow Christ, conquering sin and cultivating every grace in his strength.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is wise. There they will see the Lord Jesus himself, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and learn what it is to follow him for life and for salvation. May the Lord bless that reading to many souls, that looking unto Jesus they may live.

We will continue to pray that all who seek him now may believe with the heart unto righteousness and confess with the mouth unto salvation, to the glory of God.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your concern for those who are seeking salvation is good and right, and we join our prayer to yours for them.

Scripture is clear as you have quoted it, that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. This is the good confession, like that which Christ Himself made before Pilate when He bore witness to the truth, a confession made with the mouth that comes from true faith in the heart.

And as you said, this confession goes together with turning from sin. Godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, and repentance is not only words but a change of life. John came preaching that we should bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, condemning our own sins and turning from them, so that we might rest our hope not on ourselves but on Christ and long for His mercy and forgiveness. To be justified is of faith, yet that faith is shown to be living when we follow and obey Jesus.

So we pray that God will draw those who are searching, that He will open their hearts to believe truly, to confess Christ openly, to repent and receive forgiveness through His one sacrifice, and to be made partakers of the Holy Spirit. We pray that He will give them hunger for His Word as you have encouraged, beginning in the Gospel of John where Christ is revealed as the Son of God, and then in Matthew, Mark and Luke, that they may know Him more and learn to walk in His ways.

May the Lord grant them repentance, faith, and a steadfast desire to follow Him all their days.
