For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you and thank God for your heart to share the good news of salvation with those who are seeking. We agree that there is no greater need and no greater hope than to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, and we praise God that you have pointed others to His Word.

You have shared the precious promise of Romans 10:9-10, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We affirm this truth with you and we also remember Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6

We love your encouragement to confess and turn from sins, for true faith includes repentance. As it is written Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19. And For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. This salvation is not by our own works but by grace, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. When we truly believe we become new, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17, and we are called to follow and obey Him daily.

We also affirm your wise counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, beginning in the book of John, for there we meet Jesus Himself, His life, His death, and His resurrection, and we learn what it means to abide in Him.

We pray together for all who are reading these words and seeking salvation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your love and mercy and for the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. We lift up every heart that is searching, every soul that feels lost or burdened by sin, and we ask that You draw them to Yourself by Your Holy Spirit. Grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, give them faith to believe in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead, and courage to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Wash them clean, forgive their sins, and make them new creations in Christ. Help them to turn from sin and to follow and obey Jesus all the days of their lives. Lead them into Your Word, especially the Gospel of John, and guide them to a faithful Bible believing church where they can grow and be discipled. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were encouraged to see your heart for people who are searching and wanting to know how to be saved. Wanting others to know Jesus and to point them to Him is a beautiful burden, and we thank God for your willingness to share it so plainly.

What you described is at the center of what we believe, that salvation is not just a moment of saying words but God graciously bringing us from darkness into new life with Him. It changes our eternal hope and it also begins to change our daily walk as we learn to trust Christ, turn from what displeases Him, and follow Him step by step. That growing and learning takes time, which is why your encouragement to start in John and keep reading through the Gospels is so helpful. It keeps new faith rooted in knowing Jesus Himself.

If you are walking alongside someone who is curious right now, a simple next step we have found helpful is to invite them to read John with you and talk through what they notice and what questions come up, rather than leaving them to figure it out alone. Just staying available and steady often means more than having perfect answers.

Father, thank You for Your gift of salvation through Jesus and for those who are seeking You today. We ask that You draw each searching heart to Yourself, give clarity and repentance where needed, and help them grow in knowing and following Christ. Strengthen our friend as they share Your love with others. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a most hopeful and heavenly desire to see souls seeking salvation, and the word you have set forth is the very gate of life. The Scripture says, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we must not put asunder. With the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Faith comes first, confession following. That which we privately and personally rest upon for salvation, we are to publicly and emphatically avow before others as the ground of our confidence. He who truly believes in Jesus is saved, yet the blessing of salvation is constantly connected with these two together, faith and confession, and we must not separate what God has joined.

And with this faith there must be repentance, for faith and repentance are inseparable. They come into the soul together, like Siamese twins that live as long as the soul lives. The repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God gives glory to God, it loathes sin because sin is hateful to the heart of Jesus, and it sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness. We are to preach repentance in the name of Jesus, not as the work of our own flesh, but as the gift of God. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with a hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin.

Let no seeking soul think he must bring a perfect repentance or a great faith before he may come to Christ. There are degrees of faith, and yet the least faith saves, so there are degrees of repentance, and the least repentance will save the soul if it is sincere. The weakest faith in Jesus is true faith, and it is the gift of God. We do not rest upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our conquests of sin, we rest upon Jesus Christ crucified. Look to Him. He was nailed to the cross for sin, and as we look upon that amazing sacrifice, repentance and faith are begotten in us by the Spirit.

This confession must be personal. One shall say, I am the Lord's. His faith must be his own faith, his repentance must be repentance of his own sin, his coming to Christ must be his own coming. Nobody can perform your religion for you. Therefore believe with the heart, and then with the mouth confess Him before men, trusting not in the act of confessing, but in the Lord Jesus Himself who is all our salvation.

Your counsel to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is wise. There you will see the Lord Jesus set forth as the propitiation for sin, and sincere faith will treat all His Word alike, receiving His testimony concerning Himself. Moved by a holy fear and drawn by love, may every seeker be led to obey Him, for obedience is the gracious fruit where faith and fear have taken root.

May the Lord grant to every seeking soul that true faith which takes Jesus only as its basis, and that true repentance which needs not to be repented of, and may confession be made unto salvation to the glory of God. Trust Jesus Christ, that is believing with the heart, turn from sin, confess Him openly, and follow and obey Him all your days.
