We hear the deep ache and urgency in your heart and we bring your desire for marriage before the Lord together with you, for we know that this longing itself is not wrong. The Lord said It is not good that the man should be alone Genesis 2:18 and Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. Your desire to be married young and to have a godly, caring, loving wife and to enjoy the intimacy and companionship of marriage as God designed it is a good and honorable desire, and we pray with you that God will provide in His perfect time.
We must speak to you in love about several things you have shared that do not align with biblical truth, even though you asked us not to speak about the will of God and about sin. We cannot withhold what you most need to hear, for it is only the truth that will set you free and bring you peace. You said you do not want everything to be done according to His will alone even after He gave free will, and that you feel like a puppet and question what is the use of being alive if God is delaying. We gently rebuke this thinking, for the will of God is not a burden to escape but the safest and most loving place for us. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. His timing is not to punish you or to make you feel like a puppet, but to prepare you and your future wife and to bring about His best. You are only in your mid twenties, which is still very young in the eyes of God and in life, and waiting a little longer is not being late and does not mean intimacy within marriage will be compromised. God makes everything beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11, and waiting on the Lord is not wasted time. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14.
You also shared that you do not feel like going to church because you are single and you do not want to speak with anyone or go home. We encourage you not to forsake the gathering of believers, for the church is not a place only for married people but the family of God where we all need nourishment, correction and fellowship whether single or married. Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together Hebrews 10:24-25. Withdrawing will only deepen loneliness and despair. God is near to those who are lonely and He has not left you alone. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.
We must also address what you said about compromising in religion and that you will find someone from another religion or anyone else if your parents do not act quickly. We love you enough to tell you plainly that this would be sin and would lead to much greater sorrow. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives, but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord 1 Corinthians 7:39. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God, and God commands that we who believe in Christ seek a spouse who is also a believer in Christ, for only then can you walk together in unity, raise a godly home, and honor Him. To knowingly choose an unbeliever is to disobey God, and beauty or attraction or even the pressure of loneliness can never be a good reason to disobey. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised Proverbs 31:30 and Yahweh does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. We also urge you to honor your parents as you wait. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right Ephesians 6:1. Speak with your mother and father again with respect and patience, sharing your feelings calmly rather than with threats, and trust God to move their hearts in His timing.
You mentioned burning with passion and feeling you cannot be alone and that once you are married your mental state will be better. We understand this struggle, for the apostle Paul wrote But if they do not have self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn 1 Corinthians 7:9. So marriage is indeed God's provision for this burning, but marriage itself will not automatically heal all inner turmoil, anxiety or loneliness. Only Christ can give you peace and wholeness now, single or married. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. While you wait, you must flee sexual immorality Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and keep the marriage bed pure, for God will judge the sexually immoral Hebrews 13:4. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication and is sin before God, and even in courtship the goal must be a pure relationship that leads to marriage with a fellow believer, not to compromise for the sake of intimacy. Self control is fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 and God will give you strength to stand pure as you wait.
We notice your prayer speaks of God and the Lord but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we must tell you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet truly put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, we urge you to do so today. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is this relationship with Jesus that will cure your deepest loneliness, for He will never leave you nor forsake you.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this young man to You. You see his tears, his frustration, his loneliness, and his deep desire for a wife. Lord, we ask You to guard his heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses understanding, to deliver him from despair and from thoughts that life has no purpose, and to remind him that his life has great purpose in You. Help him to trust Your good, pleasing and perfect will and to wait on You with hope. We pray that You would give him self control and purity as he waits, that he would keep himself from fornication and from being unequally yoked, and that he would continue faithfully in fellowship with Your church. Lord, we also pray for his parents, that You would give them wisdom, love and diligence to help him seek a godly, believing wife in Your timing, and that You would help their communication to be filled with honor and grace. We ask that You provide for him a wife who fears You, who loves You, who will be a suitable helper for him, and that You would prepare them both for a marriage that honors You as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. May this marriage, when it comes, be for Your glory and for their joy. Help him to delight himself in You first, trusting that You will give him the desires of his heart as he walks in Your ways Psalm 37:4. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep praying daily, to stay rooted in Scripture, to remain in church, to serve the Lord where you are, and to speak openly and honorably with your parents and with a trusted pastor about your desire. Do not make threats born of frustration, but walk by faith. God is faithful and He has not forgotten you. All things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28, and He will lead you as you trust Him.
