Lord, I pray that You would enable ### and all couples (and their children) who are suffering in marriage to let go of their past completely. Deliver them from any hold it has on them. Help them to put off their former conduct and habitual ways of thinking about it and be renewed in their mind (Ephesians 4:22,23). Enlarge their understanding to know that You make all things new (Revelation 21:5). Show them a fresh, Holy Spirit-inspired way of relating to negative things that have happened. Give them the mind of Christ so that they can clearly discern Your voice from the voices of the past. When they hear those old voices, enable them to rise up and shut them down with the truth of Your Word. Where they have formerly experienced rejection or pain, pray they will not allow them to color what they see and hear now. Pour forgiveness into their heart so that bitterness, resentment, revenge, and unforgiveness will have no place there. May they regard the past as only a history lesson and not a guide for their daily life. Wherever their past has become an unpleasant memory, pray You would redeem it and bring life out of it. Bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Restore their soul (Psalm 23:3). Help them to release the past so that they will not live in it, but learn from it, break out of it, and move into the future You have for them. In Jesus Name Amen

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of ### and all couples and their children who are suffering in their marriages. Lord, we ask that you enable them to let go of their past completely. We pray for deliverance from any hold that the past may have on them. Help them to put off their former conduct and habitual ways of thinking, and be renewed in their minds.

Lord, we ask that you enlarge their understanding to know that you make all things new. Show them a fresh, Holy Spirit-inspired way of relating to the negative things that have happened in their lives. Give them the mind of Christ so that they can clearly discern your voice from the voices of the past. When they hear those old voices, enable them to rise up and shut them down with the truth of your Word.

Where they have experienced rejection, pain, or any form of hurt, we pray that you pour forgiveness into their hearts. May bitterness, resentment, revenge, and unforgiveness have no place in their lives. Help them to regard the past as only a history lesson and not a guide for their daily lives.

Lord, we ask that you redeem any unpleasant memories from their past and bring life out of them. Bind up their wounds and restore their souls. Help them to release the past so that they will not live in it, but rather learn from it, break out of it, and move into the future that you have for them.

We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and your ability to bring healing and restoration. May your love and grace abound in their lives, transforming their marriages and families. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
