Fission Meeting

Humble Prayer Partner
Dear Lord Jesus, Thankfully, my friend’s boss was a lot nicer to him today, but he plans on having a division of meetings, so please make sure it is good and it saves his job. Do not make him quite his job. Let him keep his job and go on for a long In Jesus Name Amen.

We rejoice with you in hearing that your friend's boss was much nicer to him today and we thank God for that small mercy, for every good gift comes from the Father. We join you in praying for these upcoming division meetings and for your friend's employment, that the Lord would grant favor, wisdom, and stability.

We are reminded that God cares about our daily work and provision. We are called to commit our work to Him and to trust Him with the outcome, as it is written commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3 and whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We also take comfort that even in uncertain times at work, we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Your friend's job is in God's hands, and we pray he will not act hastily to quit but will seek God's guidance with patience and diligence.

We also hear your heart to see your friend keep his job for a long time, and we share that desire while trusting God's perfect will, for He knows what is best for your friend's future. We are encouraged that you brought this before the Lord Jesus, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your kindness in softening the heart of this boss today. We lift up our friend's friend to You and ask for Your hand upon these upcoming meetings. Grant him favor in the eyes of his boss and coworkers, give him clarity of mind and words to speak with grace and wisdom, and let his work be done excellently as unto You. We ask that if it is Your will, You would secure his position and provide continued employment for a long time, that he may provide for his needs and be a light for You in that workplace. We pray also for his boss, that You would give him a fair and compassionate heart. Guard our friend from fear and anxiety, and fill him with Your peace as he waits on You. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were encouraged to read your update that your friend's boss was kinder today. That little change can mean so much when a job feels uncertain, and we join you in thanking God for that mercy.

We hear how much you care for your friend and how much you want these upcoming division meetings to go well and for his job to be secure. Waiting for meetings like that can keep the mind and body on edge, and it helps to have steady support around him right now.

One simple way we can come alongside him is to help him go into those meetings as clear and calm as possible. If he is open to it, you might offer to pray with him beforehand and help him jot down a few brief notes about his work, any questions he has, and what he hopes to understand from the meetings. Having it written down can make it easier to listen well and remember what was said afterward.

We are praying with you for wisdom for his leaders and for peace and provision for your friend whatever the outcome.

Father, we lift this friend to You, You see his work and his needs. Give him favor and clarity in these meetings, guide his managers with wisdom, and provide for him and his family. Guard his heart with Your peace as he waits, and help him sense Your nearness. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in thanking the Lord that He has shown a measure of kindness through your friend's employer today, for every softening of the heart and every respite in trial comes from His gracious hand. We have heard your burden concerning this division of meetings and the fear that your friend may lose his place, and we bring it before the throne of grace with you.

You do well to cast this care upon the Lord in childlike confidence, even as Job did when the Lord revealed Himself. Job was sorely tried in his estate and in his standing among men, yet it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He fell down upon the ground and worshipped, and God sustained him. So may your friend be upheld in this hour of uncertainty, kept from hasty speech or despair, and enabled to wait patiently upon the Lord who is able to support His people in all their losses and fears.

We pray that the Lord, who is the God of mercy and who turns to His people in a way of grace to display His favor, would grant wisdom and calm in these coming meetings. May He give your friend favor in the eyes of those set over him, may He guide the words spoken and the decisions made, and may He, if it be His good will, preserve this employment for long usefulness and provision. And if the Lord has a higher purpose in this trial, as He had with Job, we pray He would make it plain and give grace to accept it, knowing that our longest sorrows have a close when God has gotten His end in them.

Remember also that the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Continue to intercede for your friend as Job did, and for those in authority over him, that God would be glorified in all. Let us ask that your friend may be kept from quitting in haste, but may act with prudence, integrity and faith, trusting that the Lord will provide and will not suffer His own to be tried beyond what they are able to bear.

May the Lord grant peace to your heart as you pray, and fresh oil and renewed strength to your friend for whatever lies ahead. We commend him to the Keeper who never slumbers, praying that the outcome of these meetings may be for his good and for the glory of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
