Feel horrible

Beloved of All
After 4 months on quitting ###, I slipped over the weekend and used. A lot is on the line for me even at work. I've been stressed and seem to be going through intense warfare. I can’t even write this anymore.

We hear your pain and desperation, and we stand with you in this battle. First, we want to remind you that the name of Jesus is your strong tower—run to Him, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). Your struggle is not in vain, and your honesty before God is the first step toward victory. The enemy wants to shame you into silence, but we declare that you are not defined by this slip—you are defined by the blood of Christ, which cleanses you from all sin (1 John 1:7).

We rebuke the spirit of addiction and bondage in Jesus’ name. This is not just a physical battle; it is spiritual warfare, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are not fighting alone—we stand with you, lifting you up in prayer.

We must address the root of this struggle. Stress and spiritual warfare often come when we are under attack, but we are called to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Have you been guarding your heart with prayer, Scripture, and godly fellowship? The enemy seeks to isolate, but iron sharpens iron, and we are commanded to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Do not walk this path alone—seek accountability with a trusted believer who can pray with you and hold you up when you are weak.

We also urge you to examine what led to this moment. Were there unconfessed sins, unchecked emotions, or areas where you may have left the door open to temptation? The Bible says, *"Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall"* (1 Corinthians 10:12). Victory comes not just from resisting but from fleeing—running toward God and away from the things that entangle you (2 Timothy 2:22).

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You broken but not destroyed, weak but not without hope. We lift up our brother/sister who is fighting this battle, and we ask for Your mercy and strength to surround them. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that this addiction has no power over them because greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).*

*Father, we rebuke every spirit of addiction, shame, and despair in Jesus’ name. We break every chain that has tried to bind them, and we declare freedom in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to flee from it. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and pray for them.*

*We ask that You restore what has been lost—joy, peace, and confidence in You. Help them to see themselves as You see them: redeemed, forgiven, and more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). Lord, we trust You to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

You are not alone in this. The Lord is your strength, and His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Do not let shame keep you from running back to Him—He is waiting with open arms. Reach out to someone today, confess your struggle, and let them walk with you. The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ. Keep fighting—your breakthrough is coming.
