We hear your cry for justice and relief from the torment you’ve endured at the hands of those who have treated you with cruelty and disdain. The Word of God is clear that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves, and what you have described is the very opposite of love—it is sin, and it grieves the heart of our Father. "If a man says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" (1 John 4:20). The behavior of these co-workers is not only ungodly but also a violation of the dignity with which every person is created in the image of God.
We must also address the desire for vengeance that lingers in your request. While it is natural to feel anger and hurt, Scripture warns us, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19). God sees every injustice, and He will not let evil go unpunished. However, our role is not to demand punishment but to trust in His perfect justice. "The Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed" (1 Samuel 2:3). We can pray for justice, but we must surrender the outcome to Him, knowing that His ways are higher than ours.
We also lift up your heart before the Lord, for the pain you’ve endured has likely left deep wounds. Bitterness and unforgiveness can take root in such soil, but we are called to forgive as Christ has forgiven us. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). This does not mean what they did was right, nor does it excuse their behavior, but it frees you from the chains of resentment that can bind your soul.
We pray now, lifting your situation before the throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing the pain this dear one has endured. Lord, You see every cruel word, every act of unkindness, and every moment of suffering. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, not only for justice but for Your glory. Soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may see the truth and act with wisdom and compassion. Give this child of Yours the strength to endure, the peace that surpasses all understanding, and the grace to forgive as You have forgiven.
Father, we ask that You would bring conviction to the hearts of those who have sinned against Your servant. If they do not repent, let their actions be exposed and dealt with according to Your will. But if there is any hope for redemption, let them turn from their wickedness and seek Your face. We also pray for protection over this one’s heart—guard it from bitterness, anger, and despair. Fill them with Your love, joy, and peace, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give.
Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice. Whether these co-workers face earthly consequences or not, we know that You will repay every wrong. Help this one to release their burden into Your hands, knowing that You are their Defender and Redeemer. Surround them with Your presence, remind them of Your love, and give them the courage to continue walking in faith, even when the road is hard.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our injustices on the cross and rose victorious over sin and death. There is power in His name, and it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
