Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Mediator, that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed, healed, and protected. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we rejoice that you have invoked His holy name in your plea.

Father God, we first intercede for the salvation of each member of this family. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would move mightily in their hearts, convicting them of sin, drawing them to repentance, and revealing the truth of the Gospel. Open their eyes to see Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and grant them the gift of faith to believe in Him. For those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we ask that You break every chain of unbelief, hardness of heart, and worldly distraction. Let them hear Your voice clearly and respond with a wholehearted "yes" to Your call. We declare that no one in this family is beyond Your reach, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Lord, we also lift up the healing needs of this family, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and disease in the name of Jesus. We speak life and restoration over every broken area, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). For those carrying burdens of anxiety, depression, or past wounds, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Heal their hurts, mend their brokenness, and fill them with Your joy and strength.

Father, we stand in the gap for this family’s protection. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and discord that may be attempting to infiltrate their home. Instead, let Your love, unity, and peace reign in their midst. Guard their minds from fear, their hearts from bitterness, and their steps from paths that lead away from You.

We also lift up any areas where this family may be struggling with sin or compromise. Father, Your Word is clear that we must walk in holiness, for without it, no one will see You (Hebrews 12:14). If there are patterns of sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask that You bring conviction, repentance, and transformation. Help them to flee from temptation and to cling to You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). If there are relationships, habits, or influences in their lives that are not pleasing to You, we pray for wisdom and courage to cut ties with those things and to pursue righteousness.

Lord, we pray for the marriages within this family. Strengthen the bonds between husbands and wives, that they may reflect the love and covenant between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). For those who are single, we pray for godly spouses who will walk with them in faith, love, and mutual submission to You. Let every relationship within this family be rooted in Your truth, marked by selfless love, and directed toward Your glory.

We declare over this family that they are not forgotten, not forsaken, and not without hope. You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We thank You for Your faithfulness, even when we cannot see the full picture. Strengthen their faith to trust in You, even in the waiting.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We join you in that prayer, brother or sister, salvation, healing, protection for your whole family. That’s a burden so many of us share, and it’s never small.

What strikes us is how you’ve already done the most powerful thing: you’ve placed them squarely in Jesus’ hands, not just wishing but praying. Sometimes when answers feel slow in coming, we can wonder if God even heard. But we believe He delights in a heart that keeps a family covered like this, day after day, and He is at work in ways we can’t yet see.

Praying for our own can be a marathon, not a sprint. So we simply encourage you to keep doing what you’re doing, naming them by name before the Lord, however many times a day it comes to mind. You don’t need special words. Your “Jesus, please save them” is enough.

Father, we come alongside this one in the name of Jesus. You know each family member by heart. Bring salvation where it’s missing, soften hearts, open eyes, and let truth land deep. Bring healing to bodies, minds, and relationships that feel broken or beyond repair. Stretch Your protection over them, shielding them from what would harm. And give Your child here a steady, quiet confidence that their prayers are not wasted, that You are moving, and that You never let go. Amen.

You have prayed for salvation, healing, and protection in the name of Jesus. It is a prayer after God’s own heart, for salvation is God’s greatest work. He saith, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” That look is but a glance of faith, trusting Christ whom God hath laid in Zion for a foundation. Faith believeth on a Person, on Him. Not on feelings, not on doings, but on Christ Himself. He is salvation. And this salvation is free, without money and without price; bring nothing but your emptiness, for the only coin that buys this wine and milk is a sense of need.

For healing, remember the tree of life in the midst of the Paradise of God, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only His sweet fruit, but the least thing about Him, the hem of His garment, the shadow of His passing, is full of virtue. In Him your spirit shall be renewed, your conscience purged, your soul restored.

Protection and household salvation go hand in hand. When a gaoler believed, it was said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” The Lord often calleth one, then useth that one as a spiritual decoy to draw the rest into the gospel net. Trust Him for your whole family; bring them often to the throne of grace, and expect that He will make your household a rejoicing family because it is a renewed family.

This is the common salvation, given to all who believe, whether their faith be strong or feeble. It is God’s salvation, devised by infinite wisdom, secured at Calvary, and sealed by the Spirit. Rejoice in it, for it is yours if you trust Christ. And because it is common, go and make it common. Let your light so shine that others may look unto Him and live. The Lord bless thee and thy house with His great salvation.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for salvation, healing, and protection, and this is a noble and right request. Yet consider what true salvation demands, lest you think only of bodily safety while neglecting the soul’s deeper need. Not one part of virtue suffices for salvation, it requires a careful hearing of God’s word, a continual recollection of it, fortitude, and deliverance from all worldly things, including the deceitfulness of riches and every care that chokes the seed. If we are soft and unmanly in trial, or remiss in listening, we deceive ourselves. Hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation; the doer of the word is the one who is blessed.

The very afflictions and comforts you seek for your family are given for your salvation and theirs. When we suffer, it works toward patient endurance and a share in Christ’s own sufferings, and from that comes comfort and hope. Your prayer for protection is heard, but understand that God often protects by allowing trials that drive us nearer to Him. The salvation I speak of is not a cheap deliverance without labor, it is the loss of one’s life for Christ’s sake, which alone saves it. For what will a man profit if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Not safety from every pain, but the saving of the soul is the great matter. That soul is more precious than all the visible creation.

Healing too must be sought aright. The Lord who took away the sin of the world did not come to judge but to save. Yet we must not put off embracing the gift, thinking there will be time enough later. Now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation. Do not wait for a more convenient season, nor let the cares of this life blind you to the one thing necessary. Those who do not recognize the things that lead to salvation are marked as perishing, however whole in body they appear.

Therefore, pray for your family’s salvation first above all, and then for healing and protection as things ordered to that end. Pray not against enemies, but for their salvation also, and draw all men to the common salvation as dearly as you love your own household. Let your prayers be mingled with earnest striving: flee from sin, give alms, attend to the Scriptures, and hold fast to the hope that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed. The God of mercies will deliver you, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
