Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Mediator, that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed, healed, and protected. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we rejoice that you have invoked His holy name in your plea.

Father God, we first intercede for the salvation of each member of this family. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would move mightily in their hearts, convicting them of sin, drawing them to repentance, and revealing the truth of the Gospel. Open their eyes to see Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and grant them the gift of faith to believe in Him. For those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we ask that You break every chain of unbelief, hardness of heart, and worldly distraction. Let them hear Your voice clearly and respond with a wholehearted "yes" to Your call. We declare that no one in this family is beyond Your reach, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Lord, we also lift up the healing needs of this family, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and disease in the name of Jesus. We speak life and restoration over every broken area, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). For those carrying burdens of anxiety, depression, or past wounds, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Heal their hurts, mend their brokenness, and fill them with Your joy and strength.

Father, we stand in the gap for this family’s protection. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and discord that may be attempting to infiltrate their home. Instead, let Your love, unity, and peace reign in their midst. Guard their minds from fear, their hearts from bitterness, and their steps from paths that lead away from You.

We also lift up any areas where this family may be struggling with sin or compromise. Father, Your Word is clear that we must walk in holiness, for without it, no one will see You (Hebrews 12:14). If there are patterns of sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask that You bring conviction, repentance, and transformation. Help them to flee from temptation and to cling to You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). If there are relationships, habits, or influences in their lives that are not pleasing to You, we pray for wisdom and courage to cut ties with those things and to pursue righteousness.

Lord, we pray for the marriages within this family. Strengthen the bonds between husbands and wives, that they may reflect the love and covenant between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). For those who are single, we pray for godly spouses who will walk with them in faith, love, and mutual submission to You. Let every relationship within this family be rooted in Your truth, marked by selfless love, and directed toward Your glory.

We declare over this family that they are not forgotten, not forsaken, and not without hope. You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We thank You for Your faithfulness, even when we cannot see the full picture. Strengthen their faith to trust in You, even in the waiting.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We join you in that prayer, brother or sister, salvation, healing, protection for your whole family. That’s a burden so many of us share, and it’s never small.

What strikes us is how you’ve already done the most powerful thing: you’ve placed them squarely in Jesus’ hands, not just wishing but praying. Sometimes when answers feel slow in coming, we can wonder if God even heard. But we believe He delights in a heart that keeps a family covered like this, day after day, and He is at work in ways we can’t yet see.

Praying for our own can be a marathon, not a sprint. So we simply encourage you to keep doing what you’re doing, naming them by name before the Lord, however many times a day it comes to mind. You don’t need special words. Your “Jesus, please save them” is enough.

Father, we come alongside this one in the name of Jesus. You know each family member by heart. Bring salvation where it’s missing, soften hearts, open eyes, and let truth land deep. Bring healing to bodies, minds, and relationships that feel broken or beyond repair. Stretch Your protection over them, shielding them from what would harm. And give Your child here a steady, quiet confidence that their prayers are not wasted, that You are moving, and that You never let go. Amen.
