Family abuse.

Disciple of Prayer
Look guys.. im asking you to pray on behalf of a young Asian woman, I don't even know her real name, I just chat with her, but some of you know how extremely strict their families are, well her's is worse, they all abuse her, she was thrown out of living with her father at ###, Naked.. her mother abuses her, her siblings abuse her. she called the police and her family all lied and told them she was the problem, and the cops sided with her family. suicide hotlines she called just give her quotes and don't help in any way at all. her mother goes to church every sunday, but its obvious she is not a believer, you don't give your daughter a black eye, or break her things, or treat her like she is a slave and abuse her. she is over in ###. she won't call the police since they refused to help her when she was small, and the last time she called, they didn't even show up. Maybe God will show up, if you guy's ask Him. I don't know. I don't pray much these days... can only be honest about it.

We hear the heaviness of your heart in bringing this young woman before us and we thank you for your honesty in saying you do not pray much these days. God honors honesty and He draws near when we come to Him humbly, and we want to stand with you in prayer together in Jesus name for this precious young woman who is suffering so deeply.

We are grieved to hear of the abuse she has endured from her father and mother and siblings, being thrown out so young and being treated as a slave in her own home, being struck and having her things broken and being lied about when she cried out for help. This is evil and God sees it clearly even when the police did not show up and even when those who should protect her have failed her. We rebuke this abuse in the name of Jesus, for it is sin and it violates God's command for parents to love and nurture their children. You fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4. Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged Colossians 3:21. To cause a child to suffer this way is a grave sin, and Jesus warned that whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea Matthew 18:6.

We also must speak plainly about the mother going to church every Sunday while abusing her daughter. This is hypocrisy and not true faith. Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world James 1:27. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven Matthew 7:21. God is not mocked by outward religion while the heart does violence at home. He judges the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more Psalm 10:17-18.

We know you mentioned suicide hotlines only giving quotes and the police not helping, and we understand why she feels hopeless and why you feel helpless. But we want you both to know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up Psalm 27:10. She is not forgotten and she is not without value. She is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and God has thoughts of peace toward her and a future and a hope Jeremiah 29:11. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

You asked if God will show up if we ask Him, and we tell you with confidence that He does hear and He does answer, but we must come to Him through Jesus Christ. You did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to lovingly share that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to return to prayer yourself, not because you have perfect words, but because through Jesus your prayers are heard. And we encourage you to gently point this young woman to Jesus as well, for He alone can heal her broken heart and be her true Father and Protector when her earthly family has failed her.

We will pray now together for her and for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this young woman to You, though we do not know her name You know her fully. You have seen every tear, every bruise, every harsh word, every night she has felt alone and unloved. Lord, we ask You to surround her with Your presence and let her know she is not abandoned. Be her refuge and her defender. Break the cycle of abuse in that home and convict the hearts of her mother and father and siblings of their sin. Bring godly people across her path who will see her, believe her, and provide safe shelter and wise help. Protect her from despair and from any thought of ending her life, and show her that her life is precious to You and has purpose. Heal her body and her spirit, and lead her to Jesus for salvation and hope. We also lift up the one who wrote to us, who cares enough to intercede for her. Draw him back to prayer, strengthen his faith, give him wisdom to know how to encourage her safely from a distance, to keep listening, to encourage her to seek a trusted pastor or safe local help or shelter where she is, to document what is happening, and to keep reaching out for real help even when others have failed. Let him know that his compassion reflects Your heart. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to be a steady and kind voice to her, to keep checking on her, to remind her that God loves her and that help is still possible even when authorities have disappointed her. Encourage her gently that if she is in immediate danger to again seek help from a safe adult, a trustworthy church, or a local shelter or aid organization for abused young women in her country, and to keep a record of what has happened. Above all keep pointing her to the Lord who will never forsake her, and keep praying for her yourself, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerful. We are standing with you in this and we will continue to bring her before the Lord.

If she is in immediate danger, please encourage her to contact her local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you or she can find a helpline in your country covering about 130 countries at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

Thank you for caring enough to reach out for her when she feels she has nowhere to turn. It means a lot that you noticed, listened, and are still looking out for her after so much hurt, including being let down when she tried to get help before. And thank you for being honest about where your own prayer life is right now. God hears honest hearts.

We know you cannot fix this for her from a distance, and you should not have to carry it alone. The most steady help is often just staying a consistent, kind presence who believes her and does not pressure her to take steps she is not ready for or feels unsafe taking. If she shares injuries like a black eye, gently encourage her to see a medical professional when she can, alongside prayer. You can also keep that helpline link available for her to use if and when she chooses, and consider reaching out to a helpline yourself for guidance on how to support a friend in this situation.

Father, we lift this young woman to You and ask You to protect her, show her she is seen and valued, and make a way for safety and wise help around her. We lift our friend who wrote in, give him peace and wisdom as he cares, and draw them both closer to You in Jesus name, amen.

Your honest words have been heard, and we thank you for bringing this heavy burden to us that we may bear it with you before the throne of grace. You say you do not pray much these days, yet your very desire that someone should pray is itself a plea that God does not despise. Do not restrain prayer before God, but come as you are, for the Lord hears the broken and sincere cry even when faith feels small.

We will take up intercessory prayer for this young woman, though we do not know her name, for God knows her fully. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is like the prayer of Christ who ever lives to make intercession for us, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought. It has stayed plagues and raised the dead, and how many souls it has instrumentally saved eternity alone shall reveal. We will plead with the Lord on her behalf, spreading her case before Him and pressing our suit with His own promises.

We pray that the Lord will remember His Word unto His servant and fulfill it over her. Though the police did not help and those who should have protected her have instead harmed her, God sees and God will not forget. He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the afflicted. We ask Him to show Himself present where human help has failed, to be her refuge and to place in her path those who will give not mere quotes but true and practical help, shelter, safety and godly counsel. We ask Him to heal the wounds of her body and her spirit, to guard her from despair and from the temptation to end her life, and to quicken her with life from above. If she does not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, we pray that she may be brought to know Him who was despised and rejected and who binds up the brokenhearted. If she does know Him, we pray that she may be quickened in His way and kept in His peace.

We also pray for her family. The Word teaches that faith without works is dead, and that to go to church on Sunday while giving a daughter a black eye and treating her as a slave is to deny the power of godliness. We pray that her mother and all who have abused her may be brought under true conviction of sin, to repent and to be converted, and that justice and righteousness may yet be done in that household and in that place.

And we pray for you. You have acted in love to seek prayer for one who cannot easily seek it for herself. That is the work of brotherly love which intercession creates and sustains. When God gives any man much grace, it is with the design that he may use it for the rest of the family. Continue in prayer, even with few words. True prayer is not a form or a performance to be recited, but an inwrought cry of the heart. Bring your honest confession to Christ and ask Him to teach you to pray, to quicken you in private prayer and to make you His instrument for good. Do not give up the closet. Mighty prayer will yet prevail if it has but time, and delays in answer are often a training school wherein God teaches us to wait upon Him.

We will continue with one accord in prayer and supplication for her and for you, asking the Lord to do what only He can do, and to open doors for earthly help and protection where it is needed. May the Lord keep you and keep her, and bring you both to trust more fully in His mercy through Jesus Christ our only hope.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and taken seriously, and your honesty about your own struggle to pray is itself heard by God. Thank you for carrying this burden for this young woman when she has been so badly mistreated and for bringing her before others to pray.

What you describe is grievous and wrong. To be thrown out, beaten, to have her things broken, to be treated like a slave and then disbelieved by those who should protect her, is not discipline and it is not love. It is injustice and violence. Going to church on Sunday does not make a person a believer if her life denies what God commands. Scripture is clear that God sees what is done in secret and will judge injustice, and that He has special care for those who are oppressed and without a defender. The fact that the police did not help her and that hotlines only offered empty words does not mean that God will not help. Men may fail, but God does not.

We will pray for her, and we urge you to keep praying as well, even if your prayers feel weak or few. The Lord taught us to be persistent in prayer, like the widow who kept coming to the unjust judge until he heard her, and like the friend who knocked late at night until the door was opened. He told us these stories to show that we should continually bring our needs to Him. He does not want a prayer of ten thousand fine words repeated without heart, but a sincere and persevering cry. And we have confidence in praying because Jesus Christ Himself ever lives to make intercession for us. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, not only here but also there, because He lives forever and His priesthood does not pass to another. What human help cannot do, He can do.

It is good to ask for the prayers of others. The apostle Paul, great as he was, still needed the earnest prayer of the church, and Peter was upheld when the church prayed earnestly for him. So we need one another's prayers, but we also must remain watchful ourselves. Do not think that because you do not pray much these days you cannot come to God now. Come as you are, and ask Him for help to keep praying for her.

We pray now for this young woman, that God would show Himself present to her. We ask Him to protect her body and her life, to give her a safe place and safe people around her, to heal the wounds of abuse and betrayal, to comfort her in her distress and to guard her from despair. We ask Him to bring to light what has been hidden, to restrain those who harm her, and to lead her to trustworthy help, whether through a faithful local church, a shelter, or others who will believe her and act with wisdom and care. We pray that He would open her heart to know that she is not forgotten, that she is seen and valued, and that He offers salvation and hope through Jesus Christ who suffered unjustly and now intercedes for the suffering. We pray also for you, that God would strengthen your faith, renew your own prayer life, and give you wisdom to know how to encourage her from a distance without putting her at greater risk.

If you remain in contact with her, continue to listen with care, remind her that the abuse is not her fault, and encourage her to seek a safe and faithful community near her if at all possible. If she is in immediate danger, encourage her to seek the safest local help she can find, even if past authorities failed her, and to keep a record of what has happened if she can do so safely. Do not carry this alone either. If you have a pastor or another mature believer you trust, share this burden with them so they can pray and advise you.

We will continue to bring her before the Lord, trusting that He who hears persistent prayer and who ever lives to intercede will not abandon her.

Thank you for being honest about where you are and for caring enough to bring this young woman before the Lord. Your compassion for her matters, and God hears even a simple, honest prayer from a heart that does not feel strong in prayer.

What you describe is grievous and wrong. Being thrown out of a home, being struck and left with a black eye, having possessions broken, being treated as a slave in her own family, and then not being believed when she asked for help, is violence and cruelty. Scripture is clear that the earth being filled with violence comes from corruption and the breakdown of the family as God designed it. God sees that corruption. He is not blind to it when human authorities fail to act or when those who should protect instead do harm. Going to church on Sunday while living in a way that harms a child does not reflect true faith, because those who truly belong to Jesus are known by hearing His word and doing it, and by love that protects rather than wounds.

It is understandable she would feel she cannot call the police again after being dismissed and lied about, and that hotlines only offering quotes would leave her feeling even more alone. We do not take lightly the pain and danger she is in, and the thought of suicide shows how deep the wounds go. Every life is precious to God, and He does not want her to be destroyed by what others have done to her.

We believe God is a healer, and we pray for His healing for her in every way. The prophet Isaiah said He has borne our griefs and infirmities, and Matthew shows that Jesus fulfilled that not only in forgiving sin but in healing sickness and brokenness. That healing power is real. Jesus showed it in many different ways, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with only a word, sometimes from a distance. He is not limited to one pattern.

There is much about healing we do not fully understand, and we cannot claim to know why some are healed immediately and others are not, but we do trust that all true healing comes from God. He created our bodies and the natural processes by which wounds slowly mend, and that slow mending is no less from Him than an instant touch. And His healing is not only physical. He also heals the mind and the emotions, the scars and the deep wounds left by abuse. He can bring a healing inside even while the outward situation is still hard.

Jesus Himself knew verbal and physical abuse from those who should have recognized Him, and He endured far more than any of us, so He understands what it is to be mistreated and rejected. He also taught that there is a true family made up of those who hear the word of God and do it. When an earthly family becomes a place of violence instead of safety, God can provide a family of faithful people who will love, protect, and value her as she should have been valued at home.

So we are praying for her. We ask God to show up where others have not. We ask Him to keep her safe, to place trustworthy and godly people near her who will believe her and help her find real protection and shelter, to bring justice where there has been lying and corruption, and to keep her from harming herself. We ask Him to heal her body where she has been hurt, and to heal the deeper wounds in her heart and mind, whether that healing comes quickly or as a gradual work over time. We ask Him to reveal Himself to her as the One who sees, who does not abandon, and who offers salvation and new life through Jesus Christ alone. We also pray for the family members who have harmed her, that God would confront them with their sin and bring them to repentance.

We also pray for you. Thank you for not looking away. Continue to show her kindness, to listen, and to point her gently toward help that is safe. Encourage her, if she is willing, to seek a safe community of believers who truly live out their faith and will protect her, and to keep reaching out for help from people who will take her safety seriously. Even a short, honest prayer like, Lord, help her, please protect her and heal her, is heard by God. He is not moved by eloquent words but by a sincere heart.

May the Lord guide you as you care for her from a distance, give you wisdom to know how to encourage her, and let His love prevail in this dark situation. May He help both of you to know that He has power in the physical realm to heal and protect, and power in the spiritual realm to bring deliverance and hope, and that He is near to the brokenhearted.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift this young woman to You. You see where she lives and all she has suffered. You saw when she was thrown out, when she was struck, when she was not believed. Have mercy on her. Cover her and keep her safe from further abuse. Provide for her a place of refuge and people who will act with integrity and compassion. Heal her body, and heal the wounds in her mind and heart. Comfort her when she feels alone and without help, and keep her from despair. Draw her to Yourself and let her know she is loved and valued by You. And help the one who has brought this request, give him faith to keep praying and to reflect Your care. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and power. Amen.
