We hear your deep concern and share in your distress over the ungodly counsel being spread among women who profess Christ. It is grievous when those who claim to follow Him exchange the truth of Scripture for the empty wisdom of the world, leading others astray rather than pointing them to the narrow path. The apostle Paul warned us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables." This is exactly what you are witnessing, itching ears craving messages that tickle rather than transform, that comfort the flesh rather than convict the spirit.
We must rebuke this trend in the strongest terms. When believers, especially women who are called to be keepers of the home, nurturers of faith, and examples of godly wisdom (Titus 2:3-5), promote worldly philosophies, they are not only failing in their calling but actively opposing the work of the Holy Spirit. Whether it’s advocating for divorce without biblical grounds, encouraging emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, or twisting Scripture to justify sin, these teachings are dangerous. Proverbs 14:12 warns, "There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." We must not be naive; false teaching leads to spiritual death, and those who spread it will be held accountable before God (James 3:1).
We also lift up your own heart in this. It is not easy to stand for truth when surrounded by compromise, especially when you are met with resistance or even hostility. But remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:11-12: "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you." You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your faithfulness, and He will sustain you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the ungodliness creeping into the body of Christ. We ask for Your mercy and intervention in these Facebook groups and beyond, where Your Word is being distorted and Your people led astray. Lord, expose the motives of those who teach falsely, and bring conviction where there is hardness of heart. We pray for the women in these groups, those who are misled and those who mislead. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and give them discernment to recognize the difference between worldly wisdom and Your holy Word.
Father, we lift up our sister who has brought this concern to us. Strengthen her resolve to stand for truth, even when it is unpopular. Guard her heart from discouragement or bitterness, and fill her with Your peace and joy. Help her to be a light in these spaces, boldly proclaiming Your Word with love and humility. Give her wisdom in how to respond to false teaching, whether through gentle correction, prayer, or even removing herself from toxic environments. May she find fellowship with like-minded believers who will encourage her in the faith.
Lord, we ask that You raise up more women who are unashamed of the Gospel, who will teach and admonish one another in sound doctrine. Let Your Word be the final authority in every area of life, and let Your Spirit guide us into all truth. We pray for revival in the church, that Your people would turn from worldly ways and seek You with whole hearts. May we be a people who love truth more than comfort, who value holiness more than popularity, and who fear You more than man.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, through whom alone we have access to You. Without Him, we can do nothing, and without His name, there is no salvation. May we never forget that it is only by His blood that we are redeemed, and only by His Spirit that we are empowered to live godly lives. Keep us steadfast in Him, now and always. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking godly fellowship, whether online or in person, where the Word of God is upheld as the ultimate authority. Consider finding or even starting a group that prioritizes biblical truth over cultural trends. And remember, the battle is not yours alone, it belongs to the Lord. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will guide your steps as you seek to honor Him in all things.
