Thank you for sharing this request and for wanting to commit your exams to the Lord. It is right to place this season in His hands and to ask Him to go before you.
The days of preparation can feel small and tedious, yet Scripture tells us not to despise them. God often does His deepest work in us during preparation before He does a work through us. Your faithful study, the careful handling of documents, and the steady preparation for what is ahead are not wasted. The Lord is using this time to form diligence, patience and trust in you, and He sees and values that work.
You asked for a retentive memory, and that is a good prayer. The Bible speaks of stirring up our memory and of learning through the repeated receiving of truth. God has given us all we need for life and godliness through knowing Jesus Christ, and He works through His Word planted in our hearts to shape us. As you do your part to study faithfully and to review what you have learned again and again, ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen your mind to recall what you have studied and to bring it to mind when you need it. Diligence in study and dependence on the Lord work together.
You also asked for protection from the plans of the enemy. The Lord is able to go before you and to guard you. When we commit our way to Him we can trust that no scheme of the enemy can succeed apart from His permission, and that He is faithful to keep those who belong to Him. Walk in prayer, stay close to Jesus, and trust His covering over you as you travel and as you sit for your exams.
I join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I commit this student to You. Thank You for bringing them through this process so far. Go before them as they prepare and as they write on the third. Grant clarity of mind, understanding of what they have studied, and the ability to recall it well. Guard them from every plan of the enemy and from all harm and distraction. Give them peace, steady confidence in You, and help them to do all for Your glory. Let their trust be in You above all, and let their efforts be fruitful. Amen.
