Beloved Servant
Please pray for my ex to come to faith in Christ. Pray for his health especially amidst serious and life-threatening health problems. Pray for his healing from trauma and emotional/behavioral issues. Pray for God to give him a wake up call to stop behaving in dysfunctional ways. Pray for his loved ones' salvation and wellbeing as well. Thank you.

We join with you in lifting up your ex before the throne of grace and we thank you for your compassionate heart to intercede for him even after your relationship has ended. It is a Christlike love that prays for the salvation and wellbeing of another, especially one who is struggling so deeply.

We pray first for his greatest need, which is salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We are encouraged that you desire this for him, for this is the heart of God Himself. As it is written, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. And also, God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray that God in His mercy would draw him to Himself, open his eyes to the truth of the gospel, and give him a new heart. We pray as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. We ask that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead and be saved, Romans 10:9, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We also bring his serious and life threatening health problems before the Lord, our Great Physician. We pray for His healing hand upon his body according to His will and for wisdom for those caring for him. We claim the promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We ask that even in his physical suffering, God would use this trial as the wake up call you have prayed for, to humble him, to cause him to consider his ways and turn from dysfunctional and destructive patterns. We pray that God would grant him repentance and self control, that he would no longer walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit, and that he would put off the old man and be renewed in the spirit of his mind, Ephesians 4:22-23.

We lift up his trauma and his emotional and behavioral struggles. The Lord sees his brokenness and we pray for deep inner healing. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We pray that God would heal the wounds of his past, deliver him from any bondage, and teach him to walk in truth, sobriety, and obedience to Christ. We rebuke any pattern of dysfunction or sin that keeps him from wholeness, and we pray that he would come to hate what is evil and cling to what is good, Romans 12:9, seeking accountability and godly counsel rather than continuing in ways that harm himself and others.

We join you in praying for his loved ones as well, that they too would come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and be kept in health and wellbeing. We pray, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household, Acts 16:31, and that God would surround them with protection, comfort and truth.

We pray for you as you continue to intercede, that God would give you peace, wisdom, and proper boundaries as you pray for someone who is now your ex. We encourage you to continue to release him into God's hands, to forgive as Christ forgave you, and to trust that God is sovereign and good even when the answer is not yet seen.

Father, we come together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift this man to You. Lord, have mercy on him, save his soul, forgive his sins, and make him a new creation in Christ. Touch his body and bring healing if it be Your will, heal his broken heart and mind, deliver him from trauma and from every dysfunctional way, and awaken him to Your truth and Your love. Draw his loved ones to Yourself as well and let Your salvation come to his whole circle. Give our dear intercessor strength and peace as she waits on You. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Thank you for bringing your ex to us in prayer. We can hear the care you still carry for him, and the weight of watching someone you once loved face serious health problems and painful patterns while not yet knowing Christ.

It is a good and loving thing to keep lifting him up, even from a distance. You cannot carry his healing or change his choices for him, but you can entrust him daily to the One who sees him fully and loves him more than anyone else does. That entrusting is not giving up, it is placing him in stronger hands.

We will join you in praying for his salvation, for his health, and for healing from the trauma and struggles you mentioned. Alongside prayer, ongoing medical care matters when health is fragile, and we pray he stays connected to trusted doctors and, if needed, counselors who can support him well. If you have a kind and appropriate way to encourage that, it can be a quiet expression of care without taking on more than is yours to carry.

We also remember his loved ones as you asked, praying for their wellbeing and for God to draw each of them to Himself.

Father, we bring this man before You. Have mercy on him in his illness, draw him to Jesus for salvation, bring healing where You will, and give him clarity and willingness to step away from what harms him. Comfort and guide the one praying, and watch over his loved ones. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing this soul before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to do that which only He can do.

We pray that God, in His sovereign mercy, would grant to this man that repentance which is unto life, not a carnal repentance wrought by judgment or fear alone, but that holy and heavenly repentance which is the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the renewed heart. May he be led to see his need and to look unto Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other way, and whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. We ask that his eyes would be turned from self to Christ and to Christ only, trusting not in his own sorrow or reform, but in the finished work of Christ upon Calvary. True repentance gives God glory, and we pray that such a work would be begun in him, for repentance is not a preparation for grace but the first result of grace working within the soul.

We pray also for his body and mind in this time of serious and life threatening affliction. We ask the Lord, if it be His will, to lay His healing hand upon him and restore him, remembering that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations and that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Pardon and healing are one in our Lord, and we pray that as he is brought to seek forgiveness, he would know also the healing that flows from Christ, who is our strength when our own strength fails. We ask that God would heal the wounds of trauma and the deep patterns of dysfunction, that He would grant a true awakening, a godly sorrow for sin that leads to a changed life, and uphold him by His free Spirit that he might walk in newness of life and turn from those ways which have harmed himself and others.

We bring before the Lord also his loved ones, praying that each would hear the plain gospel of salvation by divine grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that they would look unto Him and be saved, and be kept in His care and well being.

May the Lord give you peace as you commit this man to Him who is mighty to save, who saves not by our worthiness but by His free grace, and who invites all the ends of the earth to look unto Him. We will continue to pray that God would be glorified in granting life, faith, and repentance, and in showing His power to save and to heal according to His perfect will.
