Beloved Servant
Please pray for my ex to come to faith in Christ. Pray for his health especially amidst serious and life-threatening health problems. Pray for his healing from trauma and emotional/behavioral issues. Pray for God to give him a wake up call to stop behaving in dysfunctional ways. Pray for his loved ones' salvation and wellbeing as well. Thank you.

We join with you in lifting up your ex before the throne of grace and we commend your compassionate heart in praying for his salvation even after your relationship has ended. It is a beautiful reflection of Christ's love to intercede for those who have been close to us, and we stand with you in asking for God's mercy and transforming power in his life.

We know that it is God's heart that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, for the Scripture says The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9 and that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray that the Holy Spirit will draw him to Jesus, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are thankful you mentioned faith in Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and hope for eternal life.

We also lift up his serious and life threatening health problems to the Great Physician. We ask God in His mercy to touch his body and bring healing according to His perfect will, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He has promised But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. Whether through miraculous healing or through the wisdom He gives to doctors, we pray for restoration and for strength in his suffering.

We pray for his healing from trauma and his emotional and behavioral struggles. We ask the Lord to break the patterns of dysfunction and to bring a true wake up call that leads to repentance and renewal. God's Word calls us Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2 and to put off the old man who was corrupted according to the lusts of deceit and be renewed in the spirit of your mind Ephesians 4:22-23. We pray that God will convict him of any sin, comfort his wounded heart, and replace coping through dysfunctional behavior with the peace and self control that comes from walking with Christ.

We also join you in praying for his loved ones, that they too would come to saving faith and experience God's protection and wellbeing. We pray that God would surround them with godly influences and that their households would be drawn to the truth of the gospel.

We encourage you as you continue to intercede to guard your own heart and maintain biblical boundaries regarding this former relationship. While your prayers are godly and loving, we encourage you to seek God's will for your own future and to pursue relationships only as courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God. If there is any temptation to resume intimacy outside of marriage we gently remind you that sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor the Lord, and God calls His children to purity. We pray you will trust the Lord to bring a godly spouse into your life in His timing if it is His will, and to find your comfort and identity in Christ alone as you pray for your ex from a place of healthy distance.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this man to You. Lord, have mercy on him and save his soul. Open his eyes to see his need for You, soften his heart to receive Your grace, and grant him repentance and faith in Jesus. Touch his body and bring healing to his serious health conditions according to Your will, and sustain his life that he might have opportunity to know You. Heal his trauma, Lord, bind up his broken heart, and deliver him from emotional and behavioral bondage. Give him a divine wake up call that shakes him from dysfunction and turns his feet toward righteousness. Surround his loved ones with Your love, draw each of them to salvation, and keep them in Your care. For our sister who prays, give her peace, wisdom, and strength to continue in intercession while walking in purity and hope. We trust You to work all things for good for those who love You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying for your ex, and the faithful love it takes to keep praying for someone after the relationship has ended, especially when his health is so fragile.

We join you in lifting what you named most urgently before the Lord, first his need for Christ, then his health in the face of these serious, life threatening problems, and his healing from trauma and the patterns that keep hurting him and others. It is painful to watch someone you care about stay stuck in ways that harm him, and to have so little ability to change it yourself.

It can help to make your prayer sustainable. You might set aside a simple, brief time each day to bring his name, his health, and his loved ones before God, and then consciously entrust him to the Lord for the rest of the day. That rhythm lets you stay faithful without carrying the burden every hour. If you do have appropriate contact, gently encouraging him to stay under good medical care while you pray is a caring way to support him.

We are also praying for his family and loved ones as you asked, and for you, for wisdom and peace as you love him through prayer and leave the deeper work to God.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this man before You. Have mercy on his health, guide those caring for him, bring healing where You will, and draw him and his loved ones to Yourself. Give him clarity to turn from what harms him and give our friend rest as she trusts You with him. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we will carry it to the throne of grace with you, entreating the Lord on behalf of this man and those who are near to him.

We will pray first and chiefly that he may be saved, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ. Salvation is of the Lord alone, and the way of salvation is to believe on Him. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. It is not to believe about Him, but to trust Him, to look unto Him and be saved, to depend upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. We will pray that he may look unto Christ and live, casting his whole burden of sin and sorrow upon the finished work of Calvary.

And with faith we will pray for repentance, for faith and repentance are inseparable graces. We will ask God to grant him repentance unto life, that true repentance which is the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the renewed heart. There is a carnal repentance that comes from judgment or fear and gives no glory to God, but the repentance which God accepts gives Him glory, it makes a man look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, it leads him to grieve for sin because it pierced his Saviour, and to turn from present sin because of the love of God who died for him. We will pray that the Lord may not only give him a wake up call in providence, but that He may work in him that holy, healthy, heavenly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, for repentance is not a preparation for grace, it is the first result of grace working within the soul.

We will pray also for his body in this hour of serious and life threatening affliction. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the true tree of life, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and when He dwells with His people pardon and healing are one. He said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and the same hand that pardons heals. We will entreat the Great Physician to lay His healing hand upon him according to His sovereign will, to restore him if it be for His glory, and above all to heal his soul, that if his body be raised up it may be to walk in newness of life, and if he be called hence he may be found in Christ.

For his wounds of trauma and his patterns of dysfunctional behavior we will pray that God will make him a new creature, for the healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We will ask that the Lord will uphold him with His free Spirit, that he may be kept from falling again, not by his own strength, but by divine grace which alone can cure the deep evils of the heart.

We will remember also his loved ones before the Lord, that they too may look unto Christ and be saved, and that their wellbeing may be ordered by Him who does all things well. We will ask that all may be brought to that simple trust in Jesus which saves the soul.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer, and to leave the whole matter of his salvation and healing with Him in unquestioning confidence. The Lord is gracious and ready to forgive, and He delights to give repentance and remission of sins in the name of Jesus. May you rest in that finished work yourself, and find your own joy restored as you wait upon Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing this man before the Lord in prayer, asking for mercy upon his soul and his body.

We pray first for his salvation, for there is salvation in Christ Jesus alone, by the one sacrifice by which He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other sacrifice to be expected. We ask that God in His longsuffering and goodness would lead this man to repentance, that he would hear the word of truth and turn to Christ with a sincere heart, receiving forgiveness and new life. Even when a person has fallen far, God does not thrust away the one who returns in repentance, but is ready to heal and restore.

We pray also for his health in the midst of serious and life threatening affliction. We ask the Lord, who is the physician of both soul and body, to have mercy, to ease his suffering, and to grant healing according to His wise and good will. Above all we pray that his present affliction would awaken him to his need for God, that temporal pain would point him to eternal glory, which far outweighs all present distress.

We pray for his deliverance from trauma and from patterns of behavior that harm him and others. We ask God to grant him a clear awakening, to show him the weight of his ways, and to give him strength to turn from what is dysfunctional and destructive. Hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation, but hearing must be joined with a continual turning away from sin and a cultivation of virtue, of self control and a love for what is good. May God grant him a sound mind, a softened heart, and a desire to walk in obedience.

We also lift up his loved ones, asking that they too would come to know Christ and be kept in His care, that they would know both spiritual health and daily protection and provision from the Lord.

We encourage you to continue in prayer with hope and patience. As with a physician who applies many remedies, sometimes the fruit of hearing and prayer is not seen at once, but God can use many prayers and many hearings to bring a soul at last to abundant fruit. Continue to entrust this man to the righteous judgment and great mercy of God, who reveals His goodness that we might return to Him before the day of His judgment.

We will keep praying with you that God would save, heal, and transform by His grace, for His glory.
