Please pray that my ex will never contact me again. Pray for the worldly situations and people who were in my life in the last few months to be removed forever and put behind me. We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for sharing it so honestly. We hear your desire for peace and for distance from past worldly influences, and we also hear your compassion in praying for the salvation and even the physical healing of your ex and those around him. That desire to pray for those who have been part of painful seasons reflects the heart God calls us to have.
We want to gently encourage you in this season of wanting to put worldly situations and people behind you. The Word tells us Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love is not in him 1 John 2:15 and Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We also read Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33. We pray that God will indeed remove ungodly influences and help you walk in holiness, and that He will surround you with godly fellowship that encourages you toward Christ. We also pray He will guard your heart, for we are told Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23.
Regarding your ex, we understand the longing for boundaries and for no further contact when a relationship has brought hurt or temptation. We pray God will establish healthy, firm boundaries for you and grant you His peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. At the same time we encourage you to release any bitterness and to entrust this person to God. Jesus taught us love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Luke 6:28 and If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Praying that he never contacts you again is understandable, but we encourage you to place that desire fully in God's hands, asking for His will to be done and for grace to respond with both truth and kindness if contact does occur, while maintaining wise boundaries. If this past relationship or any of those worldly situations in recent months involved sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we want to lovingly speak the truth that God calls that fornication and calls us to repentance and purity. Marriage is honored by God as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and any courtship should be with the goal of godly marriage to another believer in Christ. If there has been sin in this area, we encourage you to confess it openly to God, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. There is forgiveness and restoration in Jesus.

It is a wise and gracious work of the Holy Spirit when the soul desires to have done with worldly associations and to be healed and cleansed by Christ. We join you in bringing these matters before the Lord who alone is salvation.
We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy word, for salvation is found in Christ alone and His way is pure, and marriage as He ordained is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman with all intimacy belonging within it. Rather we ask Him to purge every evil and to make you whole, to deliver you from the power of sin as well as its guilt, and to set your feet upon the path of holiness and peace.
We pray for you that the Lord would grant you quietness of spirit and protection, that He would in His providence order your steps so that what is worldly and harmful is put behind you forever, and that you may know the healing virtue that flows from Christ. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. May His grace change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and may you sit still and see God become your salvation in the time of trouble.
We pray also for those who have been part of these worldly situations in recent months, and for your former companion. We ask the Lord to have mercy upon them and to bring them to salvation by divine grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. May they look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for beside Him there is none else. May they trust in His person and depend upon Him without fear for present and eternal salvation, which is without money and without price.
For him who now bears the burden of cancer we pray with special earnestness. We ask that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing in His wings, and that pardon and healing which are one in Christ would be his portion. When Jesus healed the sick He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Oh that this dear soul and his loved ones would hear that word and take Christ to be their King and Lawgiver, believing that He will save them. May the Lord begin a healing work in body and soul that shall work health and cure till they stand without spot or wrinkle before Him.
Let us pray. O Lord our God, look upon this weary heart and upon those yet far from Thee. Wash all in the blood of Christ, heal by Thy leaves, save to the uttermost them that look unto Jesus. Grant peace within boundaries that are pleasing to Thee, keep from evil, and lead into newness of life. We ask this not for merit in us but for the sake of Jesus Christ, who Himself is salvation. Amen.
