Ex

We join you in lifting up your ex before the throne of grace and we are moved by your compassion in asking for prayer for someone who is no longer in your daily life but is still precious in God's sight.

We pray for your ex who is facing cancer, that the Lord would extend His healing hand and comfort according to His perfect will. We ask God to be near in this suffering, to give strength to endure treatment, wisdom to the doctors and caregivers, and peace that surpasses understanding to your ex and to all who love them. We remember the promise that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3, and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick and the Lord will raise him up in James 5:15. We cling to the truth that God says, I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17, and that He is the Lord who heals us in Exodus 15:26. Even in illness we trust that when we are weak He is strong and that He will uphold us with His righteous right hand as promised in Isaiah 41:10.

We also lift you up as you carry this burden, that God would give you grace to show Christlike love and forgiveness toward your ex, and that you would find peace as you entrust this situation to Him. We pray that whatever the history of your relationship, both of you would seek to honor God in all future relationships. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and that courtship should be entered with the goal of finding a godly spouse who is a believer in Christ, pursuing purity and holiness before marriage.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently remind you how important that name is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If your ex does not yet know Jesus as Savior, we pray above all for salvation, that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead and be saved as taught in Romans 10:9.

So we pray together now, Father we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We bring this dear one who is battling cancer before You. Lord have mercy and if it is Your will, bring healing to their body, ease their pain, and restore their health. Comfort their heart and draw them close to You in this difficult time. Let them feel Your presence and know that You love them and that You sent Jesus to die for them so they might have eternal life. We pray for salvation, for hope, and for peace that guards their heart. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, give them Your peace, Your wisdom, and help them to reflect Your love faithfully. We ask all these things in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

Thank you for bringing your ex to us for prayer. It means a lot that even after your relationship has ended you still care enough to intercede, and we want you to know we take that seriously.

A cancer diagnosis brings a lot of fear and uncertainty, both for the person walking through it and for those who care about them from a distance. It is understandable to feel helpless and to wonder how best to help. We join you in asking the Lord for His nearness and mercy in this time.

If you have some appropriate contact, a brief, kind note simply letting your ex know you are praying for them and thinking of them can be a gentle encouragement without putting pressure on them to respond. If direct contact would not be welcome, your faithful, quiet prayers from where you are are still a real way to love them. You might choose a consistent time each day to remember them before the Lord.

Father, we lift this loved one to You as they face cancer. You know their body, their worries and every need. We ask for Your comfort to surround them, for strength for each day and for wisdom for the doctors and others caring for them. Draw near to them and help our friend to rest in Your care as they continue to pray. In Jesus name, Amen.

We are continuing to pray with you.

Your request has been heard and we will join you in earnest prayer for this need. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence and they soon urge us to seek a physician, and so we cry to the Great Physician because we need Him to cure us.

We will pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon your former companion in this affliction of cancer, and that if it be His gracious will He would grant restoration and relief. Yet we know there is a still higher healing that is needed, for the Lord Jesus Christ is the Word of God whom the Father has sent for the healing of poor sin sick souls, and it is the Word applied by the Holy Spirit that is the means of healing. Our chief prayer therefore is that this sickness may be made the means of bringing the soul to Christ, who lived for sinners and died for sinners, and who alone can bear our sins away. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and apart from faith in Him there is no true healing.

We also remember the sorrow that such news brings to the heart. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds, and your bleeding spirit may find consolation in Him. We will agonize with you in prayer to God, not with words that foam away, but with humble boldness and intensity of desire, pleading that the God of peace would be with you both.

May you continue to spread this case before the Lord with plainness and humility, praying as that needy woman prayed, Lord, help me, for He never finally refuses to listen to such pleading. And may this trial lead to praise, for He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. We pray that whether by recovery or by sustaining grace, Christ will be glorified and His mercy made known, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we bring it before the Lord with you. We pray for your former companion in this time of serious illness, asking our merciful God to have compassion and to grant comfort, strength and care through this trial.

We ask above all for the mercy that matters most, that he would come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Scripture teaches that Christ ever lives to make intercession for us and that He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other hope in life or in death. So we pray that in this suffering he would be drawn to Christ, would hear the gospel, would repent and believe, and would receive forgiveness and eternal life.

We also pray for healing according to the wisdom and will of God, that the Lord would guide the hands of those who care for him, ease pain, and grant peace to all who love him. We pray for you as well, that God would give you grace, wisdom and peace as you show kindness and pray faithfully for one who was once close to you, entrusting all outcomes to the Father who does all things well.

We join you in asking these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only High Priest and Mediator, who lives forever to intercede for us. Amen.
